1 The Town and Country Chorus NOTES NEWS and VIEWS for February 12, 2019 SING-OUT One rehearsal left before our Snow Prairie Bible Church sing-out. Time sure goes fast and those couple weeks we missed practice didn t help any. On Sunday, February 17 we ll meet at the church to warm up at 10:15 a.m. with the service starting at 10:45 a.m. There is a wardrobe change from what I ve published earlier; Doug has asked that we wear our colored tux shirts with blue jeans and finish it off with black socks and black shoes. SPRING SHOW Since we last talked there are more new show songs on the chorus website. Check out A Spoonful of Sugar, Disney Song Medley, and Kiss the Girl. Download these if you haven t already and begin practicing. If I m counting correctly this now makes eight songs we re working on for the show. UPDATES And just when we think we have guys on the road to health we hear that Mitch Hall fell on the ice this past week and broke his arm. He underwent surgery Friday to have the bones screwed back into place. Now it s recovery time and getting healed. Be careful out there, Mitch. & EVERYTHING ELSE We welcomed a visitor to rehearsal last week. Jeff Woodworth came as a guest of Todd Hoath. Many of us already know Jeff from his singing with the Battle Creek Chapter. Jeff is also taking over all the backstage duties at contests formerly overseen by Don Kill. We really enjoyed singing with you Jeff and we look forward to doing it again soon. Congratulations to Don Slamka on winning the raffle Tuesday night. And he did it in style by drawing the Joker from the deck. Staci, in case you re reading this too, that means it s just a couple more dollars than usual nothing to get excited about.
