You also have basic hygiene items and underwear you brought in your carry-on luggage. You must select which specialized group to be a part of: 1. Clothes and Traditional Items of Guatemala (buy one from each slide of clothing and one traditional item) 2. Food, grammar and useful expressions (buy lunch and dinner) 3. Tourism and Currency Exchange (Select tours or sites to visit)

13 La Mascara de Jade (Replica) Jade has a long and storied history of more than 3000 years in Mesoamerica, the area covered the countries of Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador. Ancient civilizations appreciated the jadeite jade stones as ornaments, tools, and burial artifacts. The first civilization to use jadeite jade where the Olmec, Maya and Aztecs, and jade figured prominently in many myths and folktales. This stone is reputed to bring beauty and long life to the wearer. Some Eastern traditions insist that it also brings wealth and good fortune. The original Tikal Funeral Mask was discovered in It was made out of jade, jasper, serpentine, obsidian, and shell and was found broken into several pieces in a structure named Tomb Number 160. It was restored by an international group of archaeologists and dated to 527AD.
