Cardada Cimetta: Take the cable car up from Orselina for spectacular views of the River Maggia delta and Monte Rosa. Or, in winter, try a snowshoeing excursion in the same area. The Adventure Park at Gordola has suspended walkways, cables and platforms strung among the trees, a fun challenge for the whole family. Lago Maggiore Express: This journey by panoramic train and boat takes you from Locarno to Stresa and the Borromeo Islands, passing some of the area s most scenic panoramas Museo Epper: This museum is devoted to the paintings, watercolors, woodcuts and sculptures of artists Ignaz Epper and Mischa Epper, who lived and worked in Ascona. Through authentic Italian cities passing Colmegna and Luino you will have the chance for an aperitif break with a breath taking view at the Restaurant Verbano. Simply stop at the Piazza of Stresa and take one of the small boats to the Island Isola di Pescatori you won t regret it! Continuing this Mediterranean journey to Cannobio where you may enjoy a stroll along the lake on the Piazza. From Cannobio it is a short trip back home, crossing the border you will reach the hotel within 30 minutes. In Pallanza we recommend the legendary restaurant Milano for an unforgettable lunch. Afterwards your trip will lead you along the shore to Brissago where the Dannemann cigar fabric stands which is open to visitors.
