3 Hotel Overview Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi, features 213 luxurious rooms and suites with balconies, all furnished to the highest standards in a modern Arabic style, infused with stunning sunsets and sea views. The complex also includes six spectacular villas, each consisting of private pools and four bedrooms. In addition, the Shangri-La Residences offer 161 spacious serviced apartments ranging from studio to four bedroom units that are ideal for longer stays. Architects Northpoint The firm was founded in 1987 by Raymond Duxbury and Ulrich Faerch as Duxbury, Faerch & Associates. Initially the firm operated in a focused niche market dealing primarily with concept design and interior design. Over the years the firm has grown and now offers a wide range of professional services with the necessary back up to handle complex projects from inception to completion. However, Northpoint s major strength lines in its ability to produce imaginative design solutions for large-scale mixed-use developments. The company s reputation as team leaders in this regard has resulted in major international design commissions. Recently the firm changed to Northpoint (Pty) Ltd, Architects, Urban Planners & Interior Designers. The company has a staff compliment in excess of 55 people. Interior Designers Wilson Associates TRISHA WILSON, President and CEO of Wilson Associates, has built her internationally acclaimed design firm that specializes in interior architectural design from a small firm when founded in 1975 to a firm that employs over 280 professionals including registered architects, accredited designers, design assistants and administrative staff. To date, the firm has designed and installed more than 1,000,000 guestrooms in thousands of hotels worldwide. Industry peers have chosen Wilson Associates for work in the field of hospitality design and the firm is a twenty-time winner of the prestigious American Hotel and Motel Association s Gold Key Award for excellence in hotel design.
