Gather in Hotel Bus Parking lot North end. 2:00 pm. 5:00 pm. First Ride from Ramada Hotel. 6:30 pm. 8:30 pm. Dinner at Station restaurant. Wednesday June 15 th :00 am. 9:00 am. Breakfast at hotel or Tim Horton s 9:45 am. Gather in Hotel Bus Parking lot North end 10:00 am. - 2:30 pm. Second Ride from Ramada Hotel 12:30 pm. 1:30 pm. Lunch planned in Downtown Hull Café 5:00 pm. 6:00pm. Snacks at the Suite 6:30 pm. 8:30 pm. Dinner at Ramada Hotel Thursday June 16 th :00 am. 9:00 am. 3 2.3 Driving Directions to Hotel KCC SPRING CYCLING TRIP June 14, 2016 From Hwy 417 Most of you will approach the hotel from the West on HWY 417 Please see the next 2 Pages for Driving Directions. You are looking for the: Ramada Plaza Le Manor du Casino 75 Rue Edmonton Street Gatineau, Quebec. J8Y 6W9 Winter Picture Note: The hotel is close to a major grocery store called Super C. The hotel is only 2 blocks from the start of the cycling trails.

7 KCC SPRING CYCLING TRIP June 14, Directions to Ride Start Location We will meet each day at the Bus Parking Lot behind the hotel. Near the street entrance to the hotel. This would be the end opposite to the front entrance to the hotel. 3.1 Ride Information and Maps The rides for this trip are well suited to our KCC groups riding ability. The rides are for the most part flat with gentle uphills and decents. There are however hills on each ride and we will proceed slowly up the hills and wait for everyone at the top of each hill. The short ride each day will be about 40 km. to 50 km. in length and the long ride will be 50 km. to 65 km. All ride routes can easily be shortened or lengthened depending on the weather and the group s enthusiasm. 3.2 Lunch Plans Note: We will discuss the plans for lunch each day. If the group wants to stop for lunch at a Tim Horton s or a French Bistro we can certainly do it. We suggest you carry a snack with you in case we decide not to stop for lunch. Convenience stores are located along the route in case we need to stop for snacks or drinks. The last time we were in Ottawa on a spring trip we had lunch at: Morello ristorante 80 Promenade Du Portage Gatineau, QC J8X 2K1

8 KCC SPRING CYCLING TRIP June 14, Riding Plans The group will ride together for at least the first 30 km. Pat Staneland will lead those wishing ride the short route back to the Ramada Hotel. Andrew Staneland will lead those wishing to add a few kilometers on the slightly longer ride and then returning to the Ramada Hotel. Maps are attached at the end of the package. Day 1 - June 14th Short Route - Ottawa River Trail to Aylmer 44 km. Long Route - Ottawa River Trail to Aylmer & Gatineau River 52 Km. Day 2 June 15th Short Route Lower Gatineau Park - Champlain Bridge Ottawa 40 Km. Long Route Lower Gatineau Park Upper Gatineau Park 63 Km. Day 3 June 16th Short Route Downtown Ottawa Rideau Canal Rideau River 38 km. Long Route - Champlain Bridge - Experimental Farm - Rideau Canal Downtown Ottawa 50 km. Following the ride we the Hotel is holding one room for us to change in until 1:00 pm. We will also be able to use the Hotel washrooms to change in. 4.1 Breakfast & Dinner Arrangements 6:30 pm. 8:30 pm. Tuesday June 14th We propose to eat at The Station Restaurant Restaurant La Station 611 Boulevard Saint-Joseph Gatineau, QC J8Y 4A6 You can walk or drive to the restaurant which is 750 Meters or 10 Min walk from the hotel. Or go to Tim Horton s which is down the street from The Station Restaurant. Wednesday June 15th (To Be Confirmed) Group Dinner will be served at the hotel at a cost of $32.95 per person for a 3 course meal. The meal has been prearranged so hopefully everyone will attend.
