4 WEDNESDAY, 26 APRIL: JAIPUR-BIJAY NAGAR-JODHPUR Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and drive to Bijay Nagar for the orientation of Bijay Niwas Palace followed by a lunch. Then, continue your drive to Jodhpur. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Explore Jodhpur, a city upholding rich culture and heritage amidst the rugged desert locale. Jodhpur was founded in 1459 by Raja Jodha of the Rathore clan and is the second largest city in Rajasthan. Stay overnight at hotel. THURSDAY, 27 APRIL: JODHPUR-RANAKPUR-UDAIPUR Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel. Start the day with a visit to the famous Mehrangarh Fort- A landmark in the city, which is located atop a 150m elevated hill, overlooking the city. The fort can be accessed through seven monumental gates, some of which still keep track of the balls fired by the enemy. Courtyards inside feature carved facades and the museum houses palanquins, nacelles, which were used to move elephants, weapons, sabers, swords, daggers and small guns. The Takhat Mahal room is decorated with mirrors and paintings with coloured glass balls hanging from the ceiling and the Taj Jankhi contains an astonishing collection of royal cradles. Drive to Ranakpur to see the magnificent Jain temples. Later continue driving to Udaipur. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. 5 FRIDAY, 28 APRIL: UDAIPUR After breakfast at the hotel, spend the first half of the day viewing the colourful city of Udaipur and find out about the tones of local lore and legends prevalent here. Visit the City Palace built in 1725, which houses the Dilkhush Mahal, Sheesh Mahal studded with glittering Belgium Mirrors, Moti Mahal and the Palace of Lord Krishna all of which are ornately decorated. Later visit the Jagdish Temple. This temple was built in 1651 and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the preserver in the Hindu Trinity of Gods. Later drive around the Fatehsagar Lake. In the afternoon proceed to enjoy boat cruise on Pichola Lake, which is 4 km long and 3 km broad, surrounded by splendid hills, palaces, temples, bathing ghats and embankments. Visit the island palace Jag Niwas which is beautifully set in the lake. (Boat ride is subject to water level in the lake). Overnight stay at the hotel. SATURDAY, 29 APRIL: UDAIPUR-DEOGARH-PUSHKAR After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Deogarh (135 km) for orientation and lunch in Deogarh Mahal. After lunch, continue driving to Pushkar (145 km). Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel. 6 SUNDAY, 30 APRIL: PUSHKAR-AJMER-DELHI After breakfast, proceed to visit an important destination for Hindu pilgrims, Pushkar is the home to numerous ghats and temples, and is known worldwide for its cattle fair. Pushkar is special as it is believed to be the only place in that has a Brahma Temple. Visit the Brahma temple say a prayer and walk around the lake on the ghats of Pushkar. Later, drive to Ajmer that was established by Ajaipal Chauhan in the 7th century and named it as Ajaimeru - the invincible hill that has a blend of Sufi culture and Hindu religion. Today, Ajmer is known as the final resting place of the great Sufi Saint - Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti. It is a centre of culture and education. Continue to Train Station to board your train to Delhi (Shatabdi hrs.). Assistance on arrival at the station and transfer to your hotel. Check-in and overnight stay at the hotel. MONDAY, 01 MAY: DEPART DELHI After breakfast, proceed for your transfer to airport to board the flight for onward destination.
