There, the Royal and Imperial Steam Hatmaker took form and grew in fame as it adorned many heads in the 1th century. It was also there that, starting in 7, the talents of many youth were discovered, turning this location into the esteemed Soares dos Reis Artistic School. Now, the Arts that cross paths in the halls of the building are different, but they all arise from the same enthusiasm, based on the same need to create, and the same taste for beauty. LOCATION The Artist Porto Hotel & Bistro, located near the traditional commercial area (Rua de Santa Catarina is just 3 minutes away), is 5 minutes from the Metro (Bolhão station) and 10 minutes from the city centre (Av. dos Aliados). ACCOMODATION The Artist Porto Hotel & Bistro has 17 rooms located on 2 floors. Spacious, modern and comfortable, they offer ideal conditions for stays with maximum convenience in a cosy environment. It also has a room adapted for people with reduced mobility and a suite. The Hotel offers two categories of rooms: Standard and Suite, with private WC, LCD television, cable TV, internet, mini bar, amenities, free safe and air conditioning. It is a non-smoking hotel. Far from the city bustle, yet only a few meters away from the historic core of the city of Porto, walls in shades of bright blue rise, bearing the lines and strokes of History: the art works which make up the assets from the old school Soares dos Reis witness the show of flavours and the connoisseurs who drop by for a tasty meal. 4 SNACKING B IST SPACE A CONTEMPLATION A BREAK BETWEEN ISTS With instant access to the discrete esplanade which curiously decortates the hotel façade, the B Artist more than a bar, it is a way of being, created from the most free and spontaneous lines an artist ca pocess. In an intimate and relaxed atmosphere at the same time disruptive, the bar is a mix of strong colors with sober notes but it also a symbiosis of works of art and sensations.
