12 Upon the guest s arrival, they will be welcomed by Zaffa to greet them & lead them inside the tent, (Zaffa is troop of musicians using oriental musical instruments like drums, mozmar Egyptian flute, used by the local Egyptians to announce the arrival of the Bride and the Groom to the wedding). Zaffa performance will last between 15 to 20 minutes) Musicians, horse dancers dressed in Bedouin attire, Berougi, etc all to greet the guests. Waiters will pass by trays of welcome drink Karkadeh during the welcome Zaffa and guests will then be invited to get into the tent where they will enjoy an elegant Gala dinner under the stars & spend a dazzling evening in the middle of the desert facing the great Pyramids of Giza.

20 The Egyp)an museum: The greatest collec)on of Egyp)an an)qui)es is, without doubt, that of the Egyp)an Museum in Cairo. It is a place of true discovery and, even aaer many visits; one con)nues to make new and delighdul discoveries every )me you venture into its many galleries. At the ground floor there are the huge statues. The upper floor houses small statues, jewels, Tutankhamen treasures and the mummies. The Museum also comprises a photography sec)on and a large Library a hall for the royal mummies was opened at the museum, housing eleven kings and queens. 22 Khan el Khalily Bazaar, Free time for shopping and walking in the old streets of Cairo (duration of 02h00) Once known as the Turkish bazaar during the Ottoman period, is now usually just called the 'Khan', and the name of it and the Muski market are often used interchangeably to mean either. Named for the great, the market was built in 1382 by the Emir Djaharks el-khalili in the heart of the Fatimid City. Together with the al-muski market to the west, they comprise one of Cairo's most important shopping areas. But more than that, they represent the market tradition which established Cairo as a major center of trade, and at the Khan, one will still find foreign merchants. Perhaps, this vary market was involved in the spice monopoly controlled by the Mamluks, which encouraged the Europeans to search for new routes to the East and led Columbus, indirectly, to discover the Americas. During its early period, the market was also a center for subversive groups, often subject to raids before the Sultan Ghawri rebuilt much of the area in the early 16th century. Regardless, it was trade which caused Cairo's early wealth, even from the time of the Babylon fort which was often a settlement of traders.
