7 Day 3 CAMEL POLO Arrival and Briefing Guests arrive and have time for refreshments before they change into their special camel polo shirts and chaps. They then receive a full safety briefing. Training The training will consist of the polo mallet swing and technique for hitting the ball together with tuition on how to successfully ride and steer the camels. This is a great introduction to interaction with the camels and is a key part of the activity as well as being amazing fun. After this players will be equipped with all of the skills necessary to battle it out on the hump in the final chukka! Game Depending on the numbers, we will split guests into respective groups and play the final matches. Each camel will have one participant sitting in front of the hump and steer whilst his or her team mate will sit behind the hump and hit the ball which will in effect be a football sized ball for more achievable results.

8 Each camel will be accompanied by a trainer on foot who will have a lead rein attached to the camel. However, he is only there for assistance and is in no way allowed to interfere with the play so no cheating! Awards Ceremony An awards ceremony can be staged and can be designed to be humorous or more formal. Prizes for best, worst, or in between can form part of the ceremony. Timing Depending on the weather and time of year, Camel Polo takes place in the early morning or late afternoon, to ensure the quality of play for participants and camels alike. It is a great energizer and start to the day, and we recommend a morning session followed by a casual or elegant lunch.

9 Duration The duration of the game will be between 1 to 3 hours depending on the number of players, the time of year and the time of day so we are fair to the Camels, and to the participants! Skill Level No prior equestrian or camel riding experience is necessary. The activity is great fun for all ages. Bedouin stems from Bedu, the Arabic term for a desert dweller. While most people in ancient times settled near rivers, the Bedouin chose the freedom of the open desert. Here, they relied on their ingenuity and grit as they overcame the harsh climate. Your journey starts in the morning, as you re driven out to the Dubai desert (in air-conditioned comfort). Then, you ll leave your modern amenities and mount a camel. Ride the ship of the desert for half an hour, until you arrive at your destination: a nomadic Bedouin camp, presenting a glimpse into authentic Bedouin life.
