Founded in London in 2012, the UK Independent Hotel Show has had a successful six year track record of bringing thousands of hotel owners, general managers and high level operators together to share ideas, do business and network. In line with our mission to broaden the reach of our support globally, we are delighted to be hosting the first European Independent Hotel Show in Amsterdam RAI in spring 2019, serving a Benelux, German and wider European audience of forward-thinking, independently spirited hoteliers. 4 WHY NOW? The Amsterdam show enters the market in a period of strong industry growth. European hotel transaction volume reached 20.9 billion in 2017, an 11% increase from 2016 surpassing what had already been a record level year in The sector is robust, growing, developing, and in line with ever increasing consumer and business demand for better experiences in travel and hotels, shows no sign of slowing. WHY AMSTERDAM? Last year Amsterdam retained top spot as the most attractive European city for investment 2. It s a visionary and accessible European centre for innovation with growing hotel, business and financial sectors. With exciting domestic and international brands such as Zoku, Soho House, Sir Hotels, Hoxton, W, Hotel de Hallen and The Student Hotel choosing to call the city their home, the market is ripe with development. And with a vigorous tourism industry bringing revenue for refurbishment and development; its unique culture makes it the perfect destination to bring the Independent Hotel Show s support to our hotelier community in Europe. Occupancy in Amsterdam is forecast at 82% in 2018 and the demand is growing. RevPAR is expected to be up 11% by and there are 10,000 rooms under development in the city centre alone 4. With this growth and expansion the need exists for hotel owners and operators to find the best and most effective solutions. This creates incredible opportunities for suppliers to expand into this growing market and become the brand of choice. Aside from our high quality exhibition, this manifests across three communal spaces which include: HOTEL VISION STAGE WORK PLAY THE LOBBY A curated programme of inspiring and practical talks and workshops delivered by leading hoteliers and industry professionals. Hosting 4 to 5 sessions per day with space for 100 guests. THE SUITE The Independent Hotel Show s main social space, The Lobby will be a place for visiting guests to work, network, host meetings, attend special events and eat and drink in an open communal environment that embodies qualities shared with a modern hotel s lobby space. 9 OUR FINELY TUNED MARKETING CAMPAIGN The Independent Hotel Show will be promoted through a targeted marketing and PR campaign. Our hand built database of 25,000 hotelier contacts will ensure your business engages with influential, forward thinking and inspiring hotel owners, operators and key decision makers. The six month marketing campaign will target a traditionally hard to reach audience through multiple touch points. This will include, social media, print advertising, digital promotion, strategic partnerships and presence at industry events. These media partnerships, press releases, social media campaigns and paid content features will create a buzz around the show for exhibitors and visitors alike.
