2 WELCOME TO THE UNION JACK CLUB If you are looking for a uniquely distinctive venue, which is full of history and tradition and that has exceptional conferencing and banqueting facilities, with spectacular views and at a price that you won t believe, then the Union Jack Club is the perfect venue. We offer a range of banqueting and meeting rooms from traditional style, reflecting the history of our club, to modern boardrooms with stateoftheart facilities. We can host up to one hundred and sixty people for everything from lectures, conferences, meetings, away days, seminars and training courses, to drinks receptions and fine dining events. We also have delicious inhouse catering and a supportive venue team waiting to be of service to you. Additionally, as a corporate or charity client you can take advantage of all the exclusive facilities that normally can only be enjoyed by our Armed Service members: At the end of a long day you and your team can relax with a wellearned drink at our club bar or over dinner in our restaurant. We offer excellent accommodation with a wide variety of bedrooms to suit most requirements. As an overnight guest you can also take advantage of the Soho Gym located a short walk away. The Union Jack Club is the only private military club created for serving and veteran noncommissioned members of HM Armed Forces. It was founded in 1904 by Mrs Ethel McCaul to provide servicemen below commissioned rank, like their officers, with a reputable place to stay with their families in the nation s capital. We are open 24/7, and 365 days a year. Our venue is easily accessible and centrally located directly next to Waterloo Station. The Union Jack Club invites corporate, charity and regimental clients to discover one of the bestkept secrets in central London for business conferencing and banqueting venues. 3 THE GASCOIGNE SUITE Our largest room, the Gascoigne Suite, is suitable for up to one hundred and sixty people and features a private bar and private entrance. It is an ideal room for presentations, large meetings, receptions, lunches and dinners, and is available in a variety of layouts that can be tailored to your requirements. 4 THE DISNEY, GHIKA & ROBARTS ROOMS The 23 floor meeting rooms offer us all the comfort and modern facilities we could hope for plus the best views of London you could wish for, truly spectacular. The UJC team always go the extra mile and the price is another factor why we choose the UJC. Ann MillerMcCaffrey Purple Tie Promotions. The Disney Room on the 23rd floor offers stunning views over the River Thames and Southbank. The room is a flexible space that is usually set up in a boardroom style for thirty people. It may, however, be arranged in a layout suitable to your specific needs. It is also an ideal syndicate space when used in conjunction with the two other meeting rooms on the 23rd floor. These are the Ghika and Robarts rooms, each with a capacity of twenty people. All three rooms come with large 4K screens, tea and coffee machines, and water coolers. On the 23rd floor you can gain access to our Office Facility, which boasts desk space for up to three people and casual tables for several other colleagues. 5 THE COWAP, LANGLEY & BURNS ROOMS The Cowap and Langley rooms, on the 2nd floor, offer boardroomstyle tables for up to sixteen people in a bright and comfortable environment. Both rooms come with large 4K screens, tea and coffee machines and water coolers. The Burns Room, also on the 2nd floor, offers a flexible space for theatrestyle presentations and boardroom meetings, and would also be ideal for events such as first aid training, where generous floor space is required. 6 THE RESERVED BAR LOUNGE & LAWRENCE ROOMS The Reserved Bar Lounge offers a traditional feel and boasts its own private bar and an abundance of natural light. It has the flexibility to host a sitdown lunch or dinner for thirty people, or up to fifty guests for a standing drinks reception. It has immense character, with warm oakpanelled walls creating a special atmosphere for a variety of events. The Lawrence Room, located next to the library, offers an impressive heritage feel and contains fascinating items from the Union Jack Club s history. It provides a boardroomstyle venue for up to twelve people and a screen and projector can be included if required. The Lawrence Room can also be used for private drinks receptions. The UJC is our venue of choice when in London. It s packed with history and likeminded people yet offers all the mod cons too. It s home away from home and we are made to feel part of something very special. While officers had their clubs, servicemen below commissioned rank had nowhere reputable to stay with their families in the nation s capital. Mrs McCaul was determined that they should have the opportunity to do this, and to see London and all its sights. Mrs McCaul s tireless fundraising efforts began in She felt that a new club would benefit the Armed Forces and their ability to protect the Empire.
