15 15 THE ADVANTAGE Our Land : The Cretan White Mountains The Cretan White Mountains, are comprised of enchanting high peaks, gorges and countless caves. They are 50 km long and 40 km wide with approximately 50 of their peaks exceeding 2000m altitude. The morphology of the mountains has protected the White Mountains from human intervention and preserved the natural characteristics of the land, keeping it impervious to pollution. The snow at the Cretan White Mountains never melts completely therefore there is constant water flow all year round.

16 16 THE ADVANTAGE Producing Samaria Water - facts Drilling The factory s water spring is located at the foothills of the Cretan White Mountains at an altitude of 85 meters. Drilling is in depth of meters and the water is pumped from a depth of 50 meters. Our continuous analyses shows consistently low values of ΝΟ 2 and ΝΟ 3 proving there is no human factor affecting the aquifer. Sodium content is low, making our products suitable for low sodium diet.. Constant amount of water Unaffected quality at 12 degrees Celsius all year round Bottling Once filtered, the water proceeds to the bottling lines. The company has 4 automated lines for bottling still and sparkling water, plus 1 for deionized water. The water bottling is performed in modern production lines. The Combi type bottling line protect the final product from any human intervention or cross contamination throughout the production process.

17 17 THE ADVANTAGE Privately owned facilities The bottling and packaging plant of SAMARIA water is established in an area of 8,500 sq.m., on a private land of a total of 17 acres and employs more than 50 people.

An extensive quality control of the suppliers is held periodically Continuous research for top suppliers with innovative products is done to gather updated knowledge on the practices and current trends. A Quality System ISO is applied and includes all activities affecting quality, hygiene and safety of product consumption and customer service.
