3 Departure: Oct.4 Day 01 Arrive In Istanbul, Turkey (Oct.5) On arrival at Istanbul proceed to your hotel and check in. Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey, constituting the country's economic, cultural, and historical heart. Overnight In Istanbul. (Meals: D) Day 02 Istanbul City Tour Bosporus Cruise (Oct.6) Today after the breakfast proceed for half day city tour of Istanbul. Visit the St.Sophia, Byzantine Hippodrome and Blue Mosque, which has six minarets and a middle dome of 109 feet. Finally, the Grand Covered Bazaar, which covers over 4,000 shops under one roof. Later, Istanbul Biospheres Cruise visits the famous Spice Market where you can shop for various spices and souvenirs. Overnight at Istanbul. (Meals: B, L, D) Day 03 Istanbul Cappadocia (Oct.7) After a buffet breakfast at the hotel, proceed to the airport for your flight to Ankara, the capital of Turkey. On Arrival visit Anatolian Civilizations Museum and the Mausoleum of Ataturk, the founder of modern Turkey. Later drive to Cappadocia and check in to the hotel. (Meals: B, L, D) Day 04 Cappadocia City Tour (Oct.8) After a buffet breakfast at the hotel, proceed for sightseeing in this unique corner of the world. Visit the Kaymakli Underground City; carved out of rock and completely self contained. More than 200 people lived on each of seven floors. Next will be the natural citadel of Uchisar. Later visit Goreme Open Air Museum, which is full of pink, rose and white tapering columns. The caves were settled in the 4th century as monasteries. The day ends with visits to Pasabag Valley and Avonos Village. (Meals: B, L, D) Day 05 Izmir Kusadasi (Oct.9) After a buffet breakfast at the hotel, proceed to the airport for your flight to Izmir. Upon arrival into Izmir, drive to Kusadasi. Check in Hotel. Overnight Kusadasi. (Meals: B, L, D) Day 06 Kusadasi - Patmos (Cruise) (Oct.10) After a buffet breakfast, embark upon a marvelous Cruise the Greek Islands. The first port of call is the Turkish port of Patmos, where participating in the optional tour, you will have the opportunity to visit the Monastery & the Grotto of St. John, where he lived and recorded the book of the Revelation. 4 Day 07 Rhodes (Cruise) (Oct.11) The Acropolis of ancient Rhodes stands proudly on the hill of St. Stephanos, also called Monte Smith; there, you will wander through the ruins of the Hellenistic Temple of Apollo. Further below, the restored Ancient Stadium of Diagoras once hosted games in honor of the sun god Helios. The drive continues across the island to Philerimos, was the site of Ialysos, one of the three ancient cities of Rhodes. Visit the Byzantine Church of St. George Hostos, Back to the city of Rhodes where you will stroll through the Street of the Knights -it is a pleasure to stroll the street of the Knights with its medieval buildings, winding alleys, towers, turrets and emblazoned facades- all the way up to the impressive Grand Master s Palace. (Meals: B, L, D) Day 08 Crete Santorini (Cruise) (Oct.12) Crete is the largest and the most rugged of the Greek islands. Upon arrival a short drive through the town of Heraklion the tour will arrive at the Knossos excavations. The palace of Knossos spreads around the large Central Court. You will reach the awe inspiring Throne Room, the fresco of the "Prince of the Lilies", the imposing Grand Staircase, the Queen s Megaron in the east. Rejoin ship to proceed for Santorin, you will have the unique opportunity to admire the panoramic view of the Aegean Sea and the neighboring islands. Explore the village walking along the cobblestone streets and the white washed houses with blue shutters, where one gets the impression of being part of a beautiful travel poster. Today as you walk around this stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site with your guide, see monuments like the Sanctuary of Athena.
