Proudly Presents 2012 ISU World Figure Skating Championships, Nice, France March 25-April 2, 2012 Post Worlds Tour-Paris, France-April 2-7, 2012 Silver Blade Tours, Inc. and Edmunds Travel are excited to return to the Cote d Azur city of Nice situated on the beautiful French Riviera. The cuisine, wine, sun, and sand beckons you to experience this beautiful provincial city and to the 2012 World Figure Skating Championships. Our group will explore Old Towne Nice, Fragonard Perfume Factory, the medieval hilltop village of Eze, and the principality of Monaco. We will offer a tour to the Ephrussi de Rothschild Villa and Gardens including lunch in their Tea Room and Restaurant and to St. Paul de Vence. Beautiful architecture, floral gardens, markets, charming boutiques, and bistro restaurants beckon you to this wonderful city of art and culture. Our four-star hotel Le Meridien is conveniently located right on the Promenade des Anglais, across from the Mediterranean Sea and a 2 minute walk to Old Towne and Plaza Massena. For those who enjoy walking, the Le Meridien is less than 15 minutes from the Acropolis Exposition, (event venue) and minutes from the Nice Tramway. Nice -"Nike" was founded by the Greeks and is the capital city of the Riviera. It is also centrally located on the rocky coast where one can take day trips to surrounding Cannes sight of the famous "Cannes Film Festival", Grasseperfume capital, San Tropez, or to San Remo, on the Italian Riviera! Our post-worlds tour to Paris will be thrilling as we view the sights of the Eiffel Tower, the basilica Sacre Coeur, which sits on the highest hill in Paris, and the Arc de Triomphe. We will visit the palace of Versailles which includes the famed Hall of Mirrors, King s apartments, and Gardens. Our visit to Paris will include entrance to Notre Dame Cathedral featuring its famed glass Rose Windows and gothic arches. You will have leisure time to explore the museums of Paristhe Musee d Orsay featuring works by Monet, Van Gough, and Monet. The world-renowned Louvre is home to famous works of art Leonardo de Vinci s Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, Winged Victory, beautiful paintings and marble sculptures. Leisurely stroll down the famous avenues Champs Elysees or Rue de Rivoli to shop and people watch from sidewalk cafes. Our five-star hotel the Westminster is conveniently located in the heart of the Opera District- a 10 minute walk to the Louvre, close to the Musee D Orsay, and Tuileries Gardens. 3 TOUR CONDITIONS: 2012 ISU World Figure Skating Championships- Nice, France and Post tour-paris, France DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE: Deposit payment of $ per person for 2012 Worlds is required with completed reservation form. SECOND PAYMENT of $ is due on October 1, THIRD PAYMENT of $ is due on November 1, FINAL PAYMENT IS DUE on December 15, PAYMENTS: We accept personal checks towards our payment schedule. Master Card and Visa payments are accepted for 50% of the tour at time of booking and final 50% payment of the tour. All credit card transactions are not charged a service fee! A deposit refund (for those who sent in their deposit prior to tour announcement) will be allowed from Aug. 25-Sept. 25, 2011 through Silver Blade Tours. All payments are NON-REFUNDABLE except through Travelex insurance. TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE: Trip cancellation and baggage insurance is offered through Travelex. A trip insurance brochure will be mailed or ed upon your request. We strongly recommended trip insurance for protection against unforeseen circumstances, acts of war, medical and family emergencies that are NOT COVERED under this tour. Please mail completed trip insurance form directly to Travelex. Please read the trip cancellation waiver on your tour reservation form, sign and check off Yes or No to purchase the trip insurance. BROCHURE CURRENCY/GROUP RATE: Tour brochure prices are based on current exchange rates and on 15 tour participants (Nice), 12 tour participants (Paris). An adjustment may be required on the final balance due to final pricing of all event tickets and currency rates. The adjustment will allow for any fluctuations in the international exchange rate that may have occurred between July 15, 2011 and January 15, 2012 and if there are less than required number of tour participants for Nice and Paris. INTERNATIONAL AIR TRAVEL/TRANSFERS: Tour participants are responsible for their own air travel and transfers from Nice Int l. Airport to the hotel unless noted in tour brochure. International airfare and airport transfers upon arrival to Nice are not included with this tour package. Airport transfers with departure from Nice (April 2, 2012) and arrival /departure (April 2, & 7, 2012) to Paris (CDG) for the post tour are included. If you arrive into Paris prior to our tour (April 2, 2012), airport transfers are on your own. ADDITIONAL NIGHTS: We have a limited number of rooms available for Saturday, March 24, 2012 that will be offered in the order of reservation request. Rooms must be booked through Silver Blade Tours. Any additional nights must be requested in writing, (no verbal requests) by or letter by September 15, 2011 to be included in our tour room block. TOUR CHANGES: A written notice to Silver Blade Tours, Inc. is REQUIRED for any tour changes and will incur a $50.00 per tour change, (STRICTLY ENFORCED). Tour packages (deposits and payments) are NON-TRANSFERRABLE from person to person or from tour package to tour package. TOUR PACKAGE EXCLUSIONS: Tour packages do not include trip cancellation insurance, excess baggage fees, and expenses due to flight delays caused by strikes, bad weather, war, or other acts of God. Also not included are transfers from passenger s home, airport, and international departure taxes (where applicable), incidentals such as personal items, room service, beverages, food, liquor, laundry, parking, and telephone, or room upgrades). Gratuities for breakfast are not included in Nice or in Paris! ALL EVENT/EXHIBITION TICKETS: Silver Blade Tours Inc. purchases All Event/Exhibition Tickets (VIP, PREMIER, GOLD, or PLATINUM) in the LOWER LEVEL up to two or more years in advance. Silver Blade Tours Inc. negotiates with the Local Organizing Committee s on our Section, row, and seat assignments for most events. Other events all event tickets are assigned by the Local Organizing Committees or Skating Federations. The French Federation hasn t released ticket prices as of this date. EVENT SCHEDULES: Event schedules are dictated by the Local Organizing Committee/Skating Federations and are subject to change. Silver Blade Tours Inc. will not be held responsible for any event schedule changes. TOUR OPERATOR S RESPONSIBILTY: Silver Blade Tours Inc. and/or its consultant s act only as agents for tour participants in all matters regarding the selling of hotel accommodations, sightseeing tours, and transportation by way of bus, train, and airplane. It is not the airline s responsibility for any omission of events or schedules during the time passengers are in transit. Silver Blade Tours Inc. reserves the right to cancel any tours at their discretion within an acceptable time frame. In such instance, full refund of all payments minus an administrative fee will constitute full settlement to the passenger. The tour operator, Silver Blade Tours Inc. will NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for any loss, injury, or damage to person/persons or property as a result of unforeseen circumstances, date or schedule changes, while you are on tour. Silver Blade Tours Inc. will NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for any expenses incurred by such circumstances. The price of the tour is SUBJECT to change and is based on tariffs, schedule changes, number of tour participants, and currency rates in effect at the time of the printing.
