1 12-DAY / 11-NIGHT ITINERARY FIVE TRIBES OF WEST PAPUA & RAJA AMPAT Embark on an epic 12-day adventure combining West Papua and Raja Ampat. This journey will take guests to visit the isolated tribes of Papua by private plane, culminating in sailing sojourn in the tropical islands of Raja Ampat onboard a private yacht. This exciting journey begins in Jayapura and ends in Sorong. WEST PAPUA There s no better way to gain insight into the mysterious tribes and majestic landscapes of West Papua than by private plane with an expert guide. On this journey, guests will visit Baliem Valley, where the Dani Tribe have become known as the only community to have developed an agricultural system. The next stop will be the Yali Tribe on the other side of the Jayawijaya Mountains. Rich in stunning topography, this was also the scene of the last recorded act of ritual cannibalism, committed in Onwards to the legendary Tree People of the Korowai and Kombai Tribes, which happen to be the smallest and most isolated groups in Papua. Living deep in the jungle, they live nomadically and build houses in the canopy to protect themselves from neighbouring tribes. Finally, guests will visit the infamous headhunting Asmat Tribe. Aside from their reputation as feared warriors, the Asmat are known as skilled artists, crafting monumental sculptures that are nowadays recognised all over Indonesia. From witnessing ceremonies, spectacular dances and sago feasts in isolated villages to flying over the second largest rainforest in the world, trekking across mysterious mountains and canoeing quiet waterways, this is a magnificent destination for a wild adventure. RAJA AMPAT The Raja Ampat archipelago is named after the Four Kings, referring to the four main islands of Salawati, Batanta, Waigeo and Misool, which are in turn surrounded by approximately 1,500 wild isles with pristine beaches and sheer limestone cliffs plunging into aqua seas. Above water, the islands cultural heritage is diverse, with prehistoric cave paintings and relics from the era of the Four Kings who once ruled here. Intrepid visitors can trek through the jungle, learn about traditional kampong life in local villages, visit a sea turtle rookery and explore the coastal mangroves by sea kayak. Resounding with bird calls, the Raja Ampat archipelago houses the largest number of freshwater bird species in the region; parrots, hornbills, lorikeets, marbled frogmouths and birds of paradise to name a few. Beneath the surface, Raja Ampat is recognised as the world s most biodiverse marine ecosystem with 1,200 species of fish and 550 species of hard and soft coral, a shelter for 6 of the world s 7 species of sea turtle. Raja Ampat remains one of the last untouched corners of the earth, and makes for a magical trip for anyone looking to get away from it all and relax in a naturally beautiful environment.

2 DAY 1: SENTANI TO WAMENA ITINERARY Upon arrival at Sentani Airport in Jayapura this morning, guests will be directed to their connecting flight on Trigana Air departing for Wamena. Landing in Wamena, guests will check in at Baliem Pilamo Hotel, before driving to Suroba to hike through beautiful countryside with views of the traditional houses of the Dani people. Continuing through a pine forest and crossing a bridge over the Aike River, guests will be met by the car, which will take them to the villages of Jiwika and Sumpaima, where inhabitants keep a mummies of their ancestors believed to be up to 250 years old. Later, the traditional Pig Feast, Mock War and Tribal Dance will be performed exclusively, offering a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience this extraordinary culture. After lunch, guests will head back to Wamena, stopping to visit the WagaWaga village and Contilola Caves, as well as taking a quick tour of the local market before returning to the hotel. DAY 2: KOSAREK & WASALTEK Following breakfast at the hotel, guests will board their private charter plane and fly flight to Kosarek for a one-hour hike to Wasaltek, the village of the Yali people. Here, the inhabitants of the village will kindle a fire and perform a War Dance. After lunch, guests may explore the village and see how the local people lead everyday lives. In the evening, guests will be invited to join the villagers as they perform traditional songs. Dinner will be served in the village, where after guests will spend the night camped out in tents in Wasaltek.

3 DAY 3: YANIRUMA This morning, guests will be accompanied back to Kosarek to board their private plane for a onehour flight to Yaniruma - a new settlement on the bank of River Masul. Here, guests will trek to the spot where a Sago Feast will take place. The Sago Feast is held once a year and is one of the most important events in the life of every Korowai. It's a gathering of hundreds of people from different clans and places that share the experience of another passing year and consume tons of sago products together. In the evening, guests will have a chance to see the Korowai setting traps and hunting. The night will be spent in a forest tree house. DAY 4: EWER After breakfast, guests will fly by private plane to Ewer and transfer by motorised canoe to Wasrse or Beriten Village. Guests will be welcomed with a special performance from the locals, singing and dancing on their paddle canoes upon arrival. Afterwards, guests will see how the Asmat people carve their signature statues in Beriten. In the afternoon, further exploration of the villages and their surroundings can be enjoyed an extraordinary chance to study how the people live in this remote area. Dinner will be served in the village and an overnight stay provided in tents in the village.

4 ! DAY 5: TIMIKA After breakfast, guests will be transferred by motorised canoe back to Ewer and take a flight by private charter flight to Timika for lunch. Afterwards, guests can visit a local market and explore Kuala Kencana Town, which belongs to the PT. Freeport Company. The day will end with dinner and an overnight stay at the Sheraton Hotel in Timika. DAY 6: SORONG This morning, guests will catch a flight to Sorong. Upon arrival, guests will be met and transferred to the harbour to board their private yacht, which will set sail from Sorong harbour for the island of Mioskon in Kri. Mioskon Bay is a beautiful anchorage surrounded by jungle inhabited by all manner of bird species, where guests can snorkel in the mangroves and kayak on mirror still waters. DAY 7: KRI, DAMPIER STRAIT Famed for its abundant fish-life and vibrant coral slopes, the Kri peninsula offers some of the most spectacular underwater views in Raja Ampat. Here, guests can snorkel over bustling coral reefs through veils of colorful reef fish, and encounter turtles, sharks and even manta rays.

5 ! DAY 8: WAYAG ISLANDS, NORTH RAJA AMPAT Today, the yacht will cruise into the interminable green island maze that comprises the most visually stunning scene in Raja Ampat Wayag. Wayag offers a spectacular backdrop for kayaking and beach time. Guests can climb the renowned island peak behind the anchorage for a full panoramic view of the azure waterways through the rock formations, and finish the hike with a swim on the white sand beach below. DAY 9: PENEMU, FAM A cluster of rocky limestone domes makes up the Penemu Islands. Draped with tiers of green vegetation, the islets encircle a shallow green bay and a walking trail along the rocky hills leads to a look out with magnificent views of the lagoon, its outlying islands, and the ocean beyond. From here, guests can travel out to some of the most celebrated snorkelling and diving sites in the area. DAY 10: THE PASSAGE, WAIGEO The statuesque mushroom islands of Kabui Bay mark the entrance to a narrow channel of water through which strong currents run with each tide the famous Passage. The channel is framed by limestone cliffs and green vegetation above the water; and below, offers a rare glimpse at what is effectively a salt water river, shrouded with soft corals, fans and sponges, making the Passage equally stunning above and below the water.

6 DAY 11: BATANTA, DAMPIER STRAIT The island of Batanta offers fantastic bird watching and jungle scenery. Here, guests can trek to the local waterfall, enjoy a swim in the pool below or underneath the falls cave, and observe some of the most spectacular birds and butterflies on the trek back to the vessel. This evening s anchorage affords the chance to observe a spectacular island sunset, as well as a myriad of local bird life, such as Blythes hornbills, palm cockatoos, egrets & various sea eagles returning to roost for the evening. DAY 12: BATANTA TO SORONG The boat will set sail early this morning towards Sorong. After a farewell breakfast, guests will be escorted to the harbour, and onwards to the local airport for their flight home.
