2 A must see for everyone! The Prague castle with its famous cathedral is Prague s dominant feature. No wonder, the first settlement was founded here as early as in the 9th century. It is also the world s largest castle complex. But this place is magical! We take you to the famous Charles bridge for souvenirs... Vyšehrad, the original fort was not preserved, but the Prague s oldest rotunda from the 11th century remains. The so called Devil s pillar, which nobody knows where it came from, is located here and is said to be a strong energetic point. The Charles bridge is one of Prague s symbols. Since the 14th century, it has connected the two historic halves of the city. From spring to winter, it also houses various artists, performers and souvenir sellers. The old town bridge tower was the very place where the building of Charles bridge began at a historically unique, magical date of at 5:31 o clock. 3 But there are even cooler architectonic jewels to behold! The dancing house is a must see! The Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord shows a very unusual modern architecture inspired by old Christian as well as antique patterns and also one of the world s biggest clock. The dancing house is Prague s most famous and most photographed object of modern architecture. It represents a dancing pair, that s why it s often called Fred & Ginger after the famous dancing couple. Petřín tower! Prague s most famous lookout tower on a hill! Or you can try the TV Tower in Žižkov, the highest accessible lookout in the very heart of Prague. Wow, check those climbing babies! The Petřín lookout tower is Prague s most famous lookout tower ever. It was built in the 19th century and its creators were inspired by the famous Eiffel tower. The Žižkov TV tower is one century younger. Its lookout deck provides a stunning view of Prague and its surroundings up to 50 km far. Have a dinner or drink while you re sightseeing.

4 This is the famous horse statue of Prague! The equestrian statue of the Czech prince St. Wenceslas is probably the most famous Czech statue ever. It serves as a meeting place for tourists and lovers, but is also a place where major changes in the course of Czech history have started. But this horse is HUGE! The statue of the warrior Jan Žižka is one of the world s largest equestrian statues. It dominates the Vítkov hill which provides one of the beautiful and not massively known view of Prague s streets. This chapel is a masterpiece! This chapel has been erected above the grave of st. Wenceslas, one of Czech s most revered saints. It is the most ornate and most visited chapel of the cathedral. The space right above it houses the Czech crown jewels. Or we ll show you a chapel with 129 masterpieces painted by a sole artist! Something you won t find anywhere else in the world. The St. Cross chapel in the Karlštejn castle served as a medieval safehouse that guarded the Bohemian crown jewels and the Holy Roman empire s crown for almost two centuries. Gemstones and gold adorn the chapel and the golden dome represents the cupola of heaven.

5 The Český Krumlov castle. Another must see! Český Krumlov is the most visited Czech city after Prague. The city s dominant, feature the Krumlov castle is Czech Republic s second largest castle complex and it proudly displays its beautiful gardens and parks that house a famous revolving theatre. Since we are already in Krumlov, why not visit a world-unique baroque theatre? It offers original stage machinery, scenery and props mechanical that are still functional. The theatre is still in use, so you can visit a play! And while you are there, why don t we take a trip to the unique, well-preserved baroque theatre? I get to see all the sightseeing spots from the must-see list! Karlovy Vary You can t miss the most famous Czech spa. Stunning spa architecture, healing springs, world-known glassworks, a herbal liquer and famous sweet wafers - all that and much more are Karlovy Vary. How about we add a few more sites, unknown to the usual tourist? ;-) You can also visit the medieval castle of Loket surrounded by a colourful historical town or the Bečov castle with its unique St. Maurus golden reliquary which is considered to be the second most precious treasure in the whole Czech Republic.

6 Telč. With world-famous architecture. You just have to see for yourself! Telč, with its romantic palace and beautiful town square with colourful houses, all surrounded by medieval artificial lakes, looks as if it came from a fairy tale. Its uniquely preserved renaissance architecture earned Telč a listing in the UNESCO World Heritage Site in The small village of Holašovice has amazing architecture to see as well. And guess what? People still live in these houses! Holašovice is also a UNESCO listed site. Many visitors consider it to be the most beautiful Czech village. While this place offers centuries old, uniquely preserved colourful houses, Holašovice isn t a folk architecture museum, but a village where Czech people still live their everyday lives. The famous st. Barbora s, the protector of miners, cathedral! It is a must see! Kutná Hora was such a famous and powerful medieval city that it was on course to become the Czech capital instead of Prague. The St. Barbora cathedral was planned to be about twice as long, but only half of it could be built before wars prevented it. Or you can try a medieval miner s life! Take a safety helm and visit the depths of a real silver mine! The lives of medieval miners was tough. They often died young of cave-ins or of various illnesses. And how difficult was it to mine for silver? You will understand if you visit an authentic silver mine.

7 This white castle is visible from kilometres afar. Bratislava offers a small, but stunning historical centre. Take a look from the castle, visit the St. Martin s cathedral where several Hungarian kings were crowned, or sit down in one of the cozy little pubs and cafés. Slovakia And if you have already seen everything in Bratislava, there are vineyards, traditional folk ceramics workshops and several castles to visit in its surroundings! If you find yourself in the vicinity of the capital of Slovakia, make sure to sample the local high quality wine. Try to create a vase on a potter s wheel or taste the traditional gastronomic specialities. The many surrounding castles are also worth a visit.

8 Hungary There s something imperial about the Danube, don t you think so? It is so much larger than Prague s Vltava river... Budapest lies on the Danube, the second largest European river. Take a steamboat ride, stroll along both banks or relax on the Margareta island. I prefer my water warm. How about we hop into a spa? Don t miss the famous Hungarian spas, there are numerous to choose from in Budapest, from the small historical ones built centuries ago by the Turks to the modern facilities with numerous hot water pools.

9 So magnificent! Can we see everything in one day? What do we start with? The imperial crown or the horses? Hofburg is a monumental palace complex that housed the Austrian emperor from the 15th century. Now, the president office resides here as well as several museums and the world-famous riding hall. Here, you can also see the Austrian and Roman king s crown. Austria Wow, I love this! No strict straight lines, there are curves everywhere! Hundertwasser house, this is a completely different kind of architecture, they call it organic. Plenty of colours, curves, untraditional materials that s the work of the architect Hunderstwasser. He built similar houses all over the world, from Austria to Japan and New Zealand.

10 Germany Look, the porcelain chimes in Zwinger! It plays every hour! Zwinger is Dresden s most famous historic sight. The baroque areal with its courtyards and fountains lies in the very heart of the city. It displays paintings from world-known artists, unique porcelain items and famous chimes with 40 porcelain bells. Meissen, the first European porcelain has been created here since the start of the 18th century. Come and visit the Meissen factory and the museum of porcelain. The staff will be happy to show you how the porcelain is made by hand. And then? You can stroll through the beautiful historic centre or climb the hill up to the castle and cathedral. Nice. But I m more curious about how the porcelain is made. I m off to Meissen.
