2 DAY 03 HANOI - HALONG BAY BREAKFAST/LUNCH /DINNER Guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel for transfer to Ha Long Bay, which is about 160 km or 3.5-hour drive away. On the way, you will see some rural areas of the Red River Delta with plenty of chances to take photos of Vietnamese farmers working in paddy fields. Stop half way to visit a handicraft workshop of fine clothes and embroidered paintings. Arrive in Hon Gai International Harbour at around 1130AM 1200 noon. Transfer by tender to boat, enjoy Welcome Drink, then depart to Bai Tu long Bay. Enjoy lunch while cruising to magnificent Bai Tu Long Bay, admire the fascinating formations on the way. Transfer from boat to rowing boat to visit Vung Vieng Fishing Village. Rowers are local people wearing traditional costume. Then, you ll visit Linh Ung pagoda with the highest Lady Buddha statue in Vietnam (67 meters height, approximately 30 stories). In the afternoon, you will visit Hoi An Ancient Town. Stop on the way to visit Marble Mountain, a group of limestone and marble hills filled with caves. Travel to the top and gaze upon the city, seeing new high rise buildings standing alongside traditional wooden houses. Then explore the mountain s main cave to see a beautiful Buddha statue built in the Cham style. Contiue going to Hoi An Ancient Town. DAY 07 HO CHI MINH CU CHI TUNNELS HO CHI MINH CITY TOUR BREAKFAST/LUNCH /DINNER At 0830am, depart from hotel for half-day tour to the Cu Chi Tunnels, 75 km Northwest of downtown Ho Chi Minh City, which were once a major underground hideout and resistance base of Viet Cong forces during the two wars against the French and later on Americans. The tunnels, entirely hand-dug, formed a highly intricate network of interlinked multilevel passageways at times stretched as far as the Cambodian border and totaling over 120 km in length. Land on Thoi Son Island where you can listen to Southern traditional music performed by native artists.
