Day 9 :- Panama Canal 4th April Sit back, relax and enjoy amazing sights as Voyager transits the Panama Canal, the man-made marvel of engineering that unites the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. 6 Days Puerto Limon, Costa Rica, 5thApril 11:30 AM (Overnight) - 6th April 13:00hrs Costa Rica is one of the most biologically diverse places in the world and nearly a quarter of the country is designated as national park. It s home to around 8,000 species of plants, 850 species of birds, and 10 per cent of the world s butterflies. Take a gentle boat-trip along the tropical Tortuguero Canals and you might see sloths hanging in the trees, colourful birds, monkeys and even crocodiles. At Veragua Rainforest, there s an even more unusual way to get close to the extraordinary wildlife - riding an open tram through the rainforest canopy. Day 12 At Sea Day 13 Roatan, Honduras 8th April 11:00 am to 18:30 Roatan is one of the best-kept secrets in the Caribbean, with pristine, white-sand beaches and colourful coral reefs, ideal for snorkelling. You ll have the chance to take a canopy tour high above sea level - a great way to observe wildlife in its natural habitat. If you prefer to keep your feet on solid ground, the Carambola Botanical Gardens are perfect for hiking, bird-watching and flowerspotting, with some really magnificent views.

7 Day 14 - Belize 9th April 07:30 to 18:30 Belize is the only country in Central America without a coastline on the Pacific Ocean and the only one with English as its official language. It was settled for thousands of years by the Maya people and its Maya ruins are unusual because many can still be climbed and explored on foot. Visit the ruined city of Altun Ha, where the Jade Head of Belize was discovered, or wander the ancient hilltop town of Xunantunich and discover dozens of ruined temples and palaces. Day 15 Costa Maya ( Majahual ), Mexico 10th April 08:00 am - 18:00 hrs Costa Maya is our final stop and offers a true insight into the essence of Maya culture, with the highest concentration of Maya archaeological sites and the largest existing Maya population in Mexico. You can explore its famous Chacchoben ruins, a site of ancient pilgrimage hidden in the dense jungle. The original red paint on one of the pyramid walls can even still be seen. If you d like to take a last dip, Costa Maya is also perfect for diving. The beautiful reefs and underwater worlds at the Banco Chinchorro form the largest coral atoll in the northern hemisphere.

10 Speakers Ron Gatepain Ron Gatepain is an Architectural Historian, Chartered Surveyor, Builder and Building Engineer. A former Royal Marines Commando and Territorial Army Lieutenant Colonel, he is Chairman of the Lincolnshire Reserve Forces and Cadets Association. Holding three degrees, two at masters level, Ron has worked at director level in Construction and Training and has been a visiting lecturer for a number of universities and colleges. He is the Editor of constructionsite.org.uk (Construction Learning Resources), the national resource website for FE & HE Institutions, and maintains the website. He has written a number of books, magazine articles, distance learning modules and online study units and is a Publishing Partner with the Encyclopaedia Britannica, contributing on Historic Sites & Buildings. A member of the Historical Association and the Society of Architectural Historians, Ron regularly gives talks for special interest groups and cruise ships throughout the world. Dr Louise Bonner Louise studied geography at Liverpool University, gained a postgraduate scholarship to study ecology and forest management at Harvard in the USA and returned to do her doctorate at Liverpool University, focusing on environmental management. For 35 years, her professional career was spent as a university geography lecturer, specialising in biogeography, wildlife ecology, environmental management, historical geography, tourism and sustainable development. Neil Bonner Neil Bonner has been a journalist for almost 50 years, starting as a reporter on a local weekly newspaper in his hometown of Stafford. After moving on to regional evening papers, he began to specialise in writing about television and show business, which he still does today. A freelance writer for the past 20 years, Neil has met and interviewed hundreds of celebrities, from soap stars to Hollywood greats; from comic legends to rock and pop icons. So, as you can imagine, he has plenty of entertaining stories to tell about his life with the stars. Having written for dozens of evening papers and every major national newspaper, as well as for titles such as Woman s Own, OK! Magazine, The Stage and TV Times, it s hardly surprising that he is in demand to pass on his experience in lectures to media students and writers groups.
