We have two incredible trips scheduled this year that are looking like they will be total sell-outs. Our Springtime in Savannah & Charleston coming up in just three short weeks is wait listed, but if you wanted to go we would do our best to make it possible. Then Alaska, our 11- Day Land and 4-Night Cruise Package, has only about eight spaces left! If you are interested in this one, please call right away! I reserved forty tickets for the Night of the Stars Dinner Theatre and am trying to find at least four more for those on our wait list. Call for availability. You never know when someone may have a change of plans. I have added a new first-class two night, three day short excursion for May 18 thru May 20. We will make a circle tour out of this one, going to San Antonio one direction and returning another, with lots of things to do inbetween. We ve added something for everyone, whether you are a sightseer, history buff, a shopper, a Veteran, a country music lover or a quilter. There is something on this excursion just for you. Our first day, we ll travel to Fayette County. If you ve lived in Texas for any length of time you ve heard of the Painted Churches. They have appeared in magazines, on television programs, and in newspaper features around the state and beyond. The term Painted comes from the elaborate fauxfinished interiors painted by itinerant artists who advertised in church bulletins and newspapers. Several were resident artists in San Antonio. The paint -mixed on site is still vibrant and bright even after all these years. This afternoon, motorcoach on to San Antonio and check into Trip Advisors #1 rated hotel in San Antonio, The Drury Plaza Riverwalk. Featuring stunning architecture, comfortable rooms, a rooftop pool and Drury s famous free extras, there s little missing from this hotel equation. Evening dinner at Texas Land & Cattle Company on the Riverwalk. Day two will begin with a guided missions Tour. Lunch will be in the King William District at the beautiful Guenther House followed by exploring and shopping at the El Mercado. At 3:00 P.M., the first annual Here s to Our Heroes River Parade. This is known as Military City, USA so it s time to honor our Men and Women in the Armed Services, as well as, those who have served in conflicts throughout recent history. This is also Armed Forces Day and approximately 25 professionally decorated floats will travel down the river featuring live entertainment from military groups, as well as local artists who wish to dedicate their talents to honor the troops. At 6:45 P.M., we ll walk the very short distance to the incredible, fully restored, absolutely beautiful Aztec Theater, listed in 1,000 Places To See Before You Die, United States and Canada. This evening, enjoy San Antonio Rose Live, a classic country music show. The show is a live performance featuring legendary songs from artists such as George Jones, Hank Williams, Ernest Tubb, Loretta Lynn and Bill Munroe. Enjoy the best of country, western swing and gospel music. Marvel at world -class entertainment in a world-class production. On day three, at 9:00 A.M. Drury to Brewery Riverboat Cruise. Many of you may have taken a short cruise on the Paseo del Rio before but, I m willing to bet not many of you have ever cruised the 2-hours, five miles to the historic Pearl Brewery exploring parts of the river you may have never seen.
