2 TOUR DESCRIPTION (itinerary subject to changed) DAY ITINERARY BUENOS AIRES - ARRIVAL Upon arrival airport - transfer to hotel by seat-in-coach. Dinner at hotel BUENOS AIRES - USHUAIA (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner ) Transfer to domestic airport for flight to Ushuaia. Arrival and transfer to hotel. Today we will do half day tour into the National Park Tierra del Fuego (exclude National Park entrance USD30 per person-pay direct) Inside the park, we will be able to watch lakes, small lakes and rivers. Here guanacos, red foxes, beavers and condors live together among forests of cherry trees, lenga trees and Antarctic Beeches (in Spanish Ñires). It is the only national park of the country that has a marine coast. During the tour we go deep into the rugged topography and along the crossing mountain roads towards the Lapataia River, where we have an excellent view of the Green Small Lake and the Lapataia Bay. Dinner at hotel. USHUAIA ANTARCTICA CRUISE Transfer to Ushuaia Port to check in the Ocean a fleet. We will have free time after the check in process. Lunch will be included. Transfer to board Ocean a fleet. After a welcoming at cruise a 10 Days/09NTS Cruise will begins! Due to port operations, boarding in Ushuaia is exclusively between 15:00 hr and 16:00hr. As you sail en route to the South Shetland Islands, attend an engaging program of lectures and presentations. In the company of expert guides, watch for wildlife from the glass-enclosed lounge or from the outside decks. You may spot magnificent sea birds, such as albatrosses and petrels, as well as different species of whales on their way south to Antarctica. After crossing the Antarctic Convergence, the environment changes noticeably. Keep your camera ready, as this is the time to watch for the first icebergs and the first sight of Antarctic land. ANTARCTICA CRUSING SHETLAND ISLANDS & ANTARCTIC PENINSULA (Breakfast /Lunch/Dinner) During the expedition, a marathon will take place at King George Island, after which we will cruise between the South Shetland Islands and the western coast of Antarctic Peninsula, sailing along ice-filled fjords and among spectacular icebergs, while enjoying the company of sea birds, penguins, seals and whales. Each day, disembark by Zodiac boat and explore the landscape together with expert polar guides. From the ship enjoy spectacular vistas from the glass-enclosed lounge while sharing your daily adventure with fellow guests. Relax and take the time to watch for wildlife from the bridge or outside decks, and take part in our program of presentations on Antarctic topics in the lounge. BUENOS AIRES DEPARTURE (Breakfast/Lunch) After breakfast, we will discover the magic of while a half city tour in which you will visit the outstanding building of the National Congress, the ancient Council, the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Capitol (better known as "Pink House"). The buildings that surround the "Mayo Square" consist of the above mentioned spots. The tour also includes the magnificent areas of Recoleta and Palermo, with their beautiful parks and buildings, the Colon theatre, one of the five most important Opera theatres of the world and many other buildings and palaces of architectural, historical and cultural value. 4 USEFUL TIPS Suggested clothing The average temperature in the Antarctic Peninsula area ranges round about 0 C (32 F), although sometimes it may get a little lower because of the chill factor caused by the wind. For this reason, it is best to wear several layers of light, warm clothing, with a windproof and waterproof jacket and pants as outside layer. You will not need to carry them with you since ANTARCTICA XXI will provide you with a pair of thermal rubber boots before arriving in Antarctica. Good quality UV filtering sunglasses are essential. Glacier glasses have leather flaps at the sides to stop the light from passing through. Due to the high reflectance of UV radiation, you will also need good sun block lotion for your face (protection factor 30 and above) and lip balm. To see the wildlife, you should have a good pair of lightweight binoculars (best degree of magnification 7 or 8X30). If you are passionate about photography, do not forget a good zoom lens to shoot wildlife and which avoids close approaches, and take with you a good supply of film rolls or memory sticks. Do not forget to take with you spare batteries since cold temperatures can reduce their life span. 5 TERMS & CONDITIONS Passengers are deemed to have read, understood and accepted the following:- Package Price Quoted in US Dollars (USD) and payment in Ringgit Malaysia (RM), subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Validity of prices is seasonal and subject to change without prior notice. Deposit & Payment A deposit of RM 10,000 per person is required upon making booking.. The balance is due in full 120 days prior to departure. Accommodation (Hotel) Bedding various from hotel to hotel, but the following usually apply:- Single consist 1 Queen Bed Double consist 1 Queen/King Bed Twin consist 2 Single Beds Triple consist 1 Double Bed & 1 rollaway bed / 3 Single beds If a rollaway bed is required, extra charge applies. Most hotels will not put more than one rollaway in a room. Baby cots can be requested in advance and if extra charge applies, passenger must pay directly to hotel. Hotel Check In/Out Times Standard check in time is after 1500hrs and check out is before 1100hrs. Amendment Charges An administrative fee of RM200 will be charged for each subsequent amendment made after the confirmation. Any other cost arising from the amendment will be borne by the passenger. No amendment can be made within 120 days prior to departure. A change on the entire booking is considered as a cancellation and is subject to cancellation charges. Cancellation Charges You may cancel your booking at any time. Cancellation must be made in writing to avoid any misunderstanding. If your cancellation is received by the Company more than 120 days prior to your departure, an administration fee of RM200 of tour price per person will be levied. If your notice of cancellation is received less than 120days prior to departure, the following cancellation charges will apply. Tours Cancellation Fee More than 120 days prior to departure : Admin fee only day prior to departure : 100% of tour and cruise price Cancellation fees for flights are subject to separate cancellation conditions depending on the airlines. Refund No refund will be made for unused tickets or any other unutilized portion of the inclusions. Request for refund as a result of changes to the package must make in writing and an administrative fee of RM200 per person applies in additional to the supplier's cancellation fee. Refunds are payable only through the original booking agent. Child Policy Children are admitted from the age of 12years if accompanied by a fully responsible.
