2 Croatia and the Islands of the Adriatic Zagreb - Zadar - Trogir - Split - the Coastal Islands and Dubrovnik This wonderful trip combines easy cycling, enchanting sightseeing, wonderful cuisine, and cruising the pristine coastline of Croatia as we hop from island to island along the coast that has often been compared to the Amalfi Coast as it was fifty years ago. Each day you have several options: You can cycle with the group, or you can stay on the boat for a relaxing and scenic cruise; then when the boat drops anchor, you can take your bicycle or one of the boat s kayaks for a spin. We are very excited about this new route in Croatia. Especially since it starts with a two day exploration of Zagreb, the stately capital of Croatia and ends up with three nights in Dubrovnik, the jewel of the Croatian Coast, and one last night in Zagreb before our flight home. 3 Croatia and the Islands of the Adriatic Zagreb Trip Description After our overnight flight to Croatia, we transfer to our city center four star hotel and have time to relax before a planned optional dinner and a good night s sleep. The next day, we have a hearty breakfast and a Two Hour Tour of Zagreb, the Stately Capital of Croatia, then lunch and time to explore the city on your own. Then join us for an optional planned dinner or just grab a bite at one of the restaurants you may have discovered during the day. The next morning after breakfast at the hotel, we have a private motorcoach transfer from Zagreb located in the interior of Croatia, to the stunning Adriatic Coastline, with a lunch stop in Zadar, Croatia s oldest city with a rich history dating back to prehistoric times. In the afternoon, we arrive at the bustling port city of Trogir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we board the Melody and enjoy meeting the crew and getting oriented for our seven night cruise. During the cruise, we will have a hearty breakfast each morning, followed by a description of the day s cycling and cruising options. We have a tour guide who will be cycling with us and we Zadar make lots of stops along the way for pictures and sightseeing; lunches will be provided along the way. Also, we have high quality 26 speed hybrid bicycles with an option for Electro-Bikes. The weather in mid May should be delightful, perfect for sightseeing and cycling, with highs in the low to mid 70 s. After our seven night cruise, we end up back in Trogir and board a private motorcoach for our scenic coastline transfer to Dubrovnik, the Jewel of the Adriatic. We have three nights in a High Quality Bicycles with four star, centrally located hotel with breakfast daily and a guided the option of Electro-Bikes walking tour of this fascinating city. 4 Croatia and the Islands of the Adriatic Seven nights aboard our Luxury Yacht, the Melody In our fifteen years of leading Bike & Barge Trips, this will be the most luxurious vessel we have chartered. The Melody was completely renovated 2014; the cabins are larger than any we have experienced, the lounges larger and more comfortable, and there are many other amenities not available on other cruises, like a massage therapy room and an excercise room. Hope this doesn t spoil us for future trips on comfort plus cruisers.
