3 Bienvenue Cruise Passengers Contest! Contest objective The primary objective of the contest is to capture the thrill and exhilaration experienced when cruise ships call in at one of the nine (9) Saint Lawrence ports of call, namely: Montréal, Trois-Rivières, Québec, Baie- Comeau, Sept-Îles, Havre-Saint-Pierre, Gaspésie and the Îles de la Madeleine. We seek to inspire Québecers from across the province to share their images and real life experiences of a day in port, as seen through the lens of their cameras. Show us how you welcome cruise ship passengers and crew members when they step ashore in your region! Destination Saint Lawrence: Nine distinctive faces The Bienvenue Cruise Passengers Contest will run for the entirety of this year's international cruise season on the Saint Lawrence, which is to say from 00:05 ET on May 10 th to 13:00 ET on October 31 st 2015 at each of the nine (9) specified ports of call, namely: Montréal, Trois-Rivières, Québec, Saguenay, Baie-Comeau, Sept-Îles, Havre-Saint-Pierre, Gaspésie et les Îles de la Madeleine The 2015 edition of the contest has been divided into four (4) different stages. Contest stages and date ranges are as follows: 1 st Stage: Spring visits Period: May 10 th to June 30 th nd Stage: Summer visits Period: July 1 st to August 31 st rd Stage: September visits Period: September 1 st to 30 th th Stage: October visits Period: October 1 st to 31 st 2015 All images and photographs submitted must represent your personal vision of a successful and pleasurable day in port. Camera in hand, peer out through the lens and lend full reign to your creativity! Each photograph must depict one or other of greeting proceedings, personal experiences and/or general ambience on a day when a cruise ship is in port. Show us in pictures how passengers, crew members, port of call employees and locals interact when an international cruise ship drops anchor at a member port of call. 4 Eligibility Shall be eligible to enter this contest all individuals 14 years of age or over who are residents of Québec and either amateur or professional photographers. Individuals not eligible to enter this contest shall include the staff, members of the board of directors of Cruise the Saint Lawrence and persons with whom the latter are domiciled. Should a winner be a minor (under the age of 18 years), a parent or legal guardian of such winner shall sign an Authorization Form allowing the person selected to take receipt of his or her prize. If required for the purpose of this contest, the terms 'entrant' and 'winner' shall refer to the 'parent' or 'legal guardian' of such entrant or winner. How to enter You may enter this contest in two (2) different ways: Entry is free. Simply fill out the entry form on the Cruise the Saint Lawrence Facebook page or website at under the heading 'Contest'. To be entered in the contest, all entrants shall fill out an official entry form. Entrants shall have the choice of submitting their photographs using the official entry form or via one of the participating social networking platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). All photos shall be forwarded online directly to Cruise the Saint Lawrence. Facebook user, you are requested to post your photos directly to our Facebook page wall accompanied by the specified hashtag to be entered in the contest To be entered in the contest, entrants electing to submit their photographs via social media must also use one or other of the following hashtags: #concoursbienvenue #FleuveStLaurent As well as the hashtag specific to the port of call where the photographs were taken: #EscaleSag for Saguenay #EscaleGaspe for Gaspésie #Escale7I for Sept-Îles #EscaleBC for Baie-Comeau #EscaleHSP for Havre-Saint-Pierre #EscaleQC for Québec #EscaleTR for Trois-Rivières #EscaleMTL for Montréal #EscaleIM for Îles de la Madeleine Winners Two (2) winners per stage shall be determined in the following manner: The first winner shall be the individual having earned the highest number of votes in the contest photo gallery. The contest panel of judges, basing themselves on the criteria set out below, shall then choose a second winner by selecting their favourite photograph from among all other photographs submitted. Entrants may submit more than one photograph during each of the contest stages. However, entrants shall be entered only once in the draws organized subsequent to the close of each contest stage. 5 At the close of the contest, four (4) grand prize winners shall be selected at random from among all entrants and be awarded one (1) of the four (4) tour packages. Entrants shall be entered only once in the final draw regardless of the number of photographs submitted during the different contest stages. Judging criteria The panel of judges shall be made up Cruise the Saint Lawrence staff. 6 Prizes Judging panel award: A cheque in the amount of $50 shall be awarded the grand prize winner of each contest stage. The contest comprises four (4) different stages for a total of four (4) grand prize winners and $200 in prize money for the four stages combined. People's choice award: A cheque in the amount of $100 shall be awarded the people's choice winner of each contest stage. The contest comprises four (4) different stages for a total of four (4) prize winners and $400 in prize money for the four stages combined. Facebook people's choice: The photograph having earned the highest number of 'Likes' in the contest photo gallery shall be declared the people's choice winner. The winner shall receive a cheque in the amount of $100. Four grand prize packages Four (4) grand prize packages shall be drawn at random from among all contest entrants at the close of the contest. Each entrant shall be entered only once in the final draw. The final draw shall take place on November 13 th 2015 at 13:30 ET at the head office of Cruise the Saint Lawrence. Winners shall be contacted by telephone. Prizes shall be forwarded by mail. Cruise package for two (2) persons aboard the CTMA Vacancier. Value of $3000. Return cruise for two from Montréal to the Îles de la Madeleine, 7 nights' accommodation in an inside cabin, private or common bath, and 14 onboard meals. Not included: Land-based excursions, meals on days ship is in port at Îles de la Madeleine, soft drinks, alcoholic beverages and gratuities. Not transferable, not convertible into cash. Valid for June 2016 departures only. Package for two (2) persons to Québec. Value of $600. Includes 2 nights' accommodation in a 4- star property, standard three-hour city tour and pass providing free access to museums and key attractions in the provincial capital. Date restrictions apply. Package may be used from November 13 th 2015 through to no later than June 15 th Not applicable during the staging of the Carnaval de Québec. Subject to availability of rooms. Package for two (2) persons to Saguenay. Value of $530. Includes 2 nights and 2 breakfasts at Auberge des 21 at La Baie, 2 tickets to La Fabuleuse, 2 tickets for a Saguenay fjord excursion aboard the Fjord du Saguenay II, and 2 passes to La Pulperie de Chicoutimi - Regional Museum. Not included: Soft drinks, alcoholic beverages and gratuities. Not transferable, not convertible into cash. Applicable dates for La Fabuleuse performances in July and August 2016 include as follows: July 8, 9, 13 to 16, 20 to 23, 27 to 30 and August 3 to 6, 10 to 13 and 19 and 20. Subject to availability of rooms. Package for two (2) persons to Montréal. Value of $400. Includes 2 nights' accommodation in a 4-star property plus a book of discount coupons applicable for key attractions and activities in Montréal! Not transferable, not convertible into cash. Date restrictions apply. Package may be used from November 13 th 2015 through to no later than June 30 th Not applicable during the staging of the Canadian Grand Prix in Montréal. 7 General rules Entrants shall be eligible to be selected as winners only once during each contest stage. Entrants shall be eligible to be selected as winners only once during the final draw for the four (4) grand prize tour packages at the close of the contest. Photographs shall be taken between Mai 11 th and October 31rst Photographs shall be taken within the territorial limits of one or other of the nine (9) specified ports of call, namely: Montréal, Trois-Rivières, Québec, Saguenay, Baie-Comeau, Sept-Îles, Havre-Saint-Pierre, Gaspésie et les Îles de la Madeleine Collages (composite photographs), superimposed images (HDR included) and montages shall not be accepted. Only photographs submitted within the prescribed time periods for each of the four (4) contest stages shall be accepted. All photographs submitted shall be royalty-free respecting origin, photographer and the persons/objects photographed and appearing in the images so submitted. Cruise the Saint Lawrence reserves the right to publish all photographs submitted for tourism promotion purposes or other, without the consent of the individuals having taken such photographs. Contest entrants hereby agree to hold Cruise the Saint Lawrence harmless of any legal proceedings as may be instituted following the publication or use of their photographs for promotional or exhibition purposes. Contest organizers shall not be liable in any manner whatsoever should they be powerless to act following an event or situation beyond their control. All decisions by the panel of judges shall be final and without appeal. Winners shall be advised by and then by telephone if no response has been received within 48 hours. Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a promotional contest may be submitted to Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie for the sole purpose of assisting the parties in reaching a settlement. Terms and conditions Acceptance of prizes: All prizes shall be accepted as defined and set out in these contest rules. None shall be transferred to another person, substituted for another prize, or exchanged, in whole or in part, for a cash equivalent except as provided in the following section. Substitution of prizes: In the event, for reasons unrelated to the winners, that the contest organizers shall be unable to award a prize (or portion of a prize) as defined and set out in these contest rules, they reserve the right to award a prize (or portion of a prize) of the same nature and of equivalent value or, at their sole discretion, the cash value of the prize (or portion thereof) set out in these contest rules. Refusal to accept prizes: Refusal by any entrant selected at random to accept a prize in accordance with the terms and conditions of these contest rules shall free the organizers of all obligations respecting such entrant and relating to the prize in question. Liability of suppliers: All entrants selected to receive a prize hereby acknowledge that upon receipt of the letter confirming their prize, prize service delivery shall become the full and exclusive responsibility of prize winners. Limit of liability contest organization: Cruise the Saint Lawrence shall be exempt from all liability relating to the deficient operation of any computer component, software or communications line, including any failed, incomplete or incomprehensible transmission or transmission deleted from any computer or network and as shall limit or preclude a person from Welcome Cruise Passengers Contest 6

8 entering this contest. Cruise the Saint Lawrence shall be exempt from all liability relating to any loss or damage as shall derive, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the downloading of any Web page, software or form, including the transmission of any data or information relating to contest entry. Modification: Cruise the Saint Lawrence, at the sole discretion thereof, hereby reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this contest, in whole or in part, in the event of any occurrence, error or human intervention which risks corrupting or impacting the administration, security, impartiality or organization of the contest as defined and set out in these contest rules, subject to approval by Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, if required. In all instances, the contest organizers, their affiliated companies, their advertising and promotional agencies, contest goods and services suppliers, as well as the employees, agents and representatives of each of the former, shall not be required to award more prizes than provided for in these contest rules or remit prizes other than in the manner set out herein. Limit of liability contest entry: All entrants shall hereby hold harmless the contest organizers, their affiliated companies, their advertising and/or promotional agencies, as well as their employees, agents and representatives with respect to any damages as may be incurred in entering or attempting to enter this contest. Authorization: In entering this contest, all winners hereby authorize the contest organizers, as well as their partners and representatives, at the sole discretion thereof, to use as required, without any form of compensation or time limit respecting usage, their name and surname, photograph, image, contest award declaration, place of residence and/or voice in all media for advertising or other purposes deemed relevant in the circumstances. Contact with contest entrants: Cruise the Saint Lawrence shall have no obligation whatsoever to contact or correspond with contest entrants other than those entrants selected to receive a prize. Entrant identification: For the purpose of these contest rules, an entrant shall be deemed to be the person whose name appears on the contest entry form. Accordingly, it shall be this person, or parent or guardian thereof, to whom a prize shall be awarded should he or she be selected and declared a winner.
