I devote my spare time free of charge to the organization and only accept donations and money from INTL for the server costs. I (Karen Ing) reside with my husband of 20 years, 2 teen children (Alex 17 & Tiffany 12), dog & cat in Wylie, TX. Sailing regattas are still all the rage as are the popular jazz and folk festivals. There are plenty of amazing ocean-side restaurants. And no trip would be complete without a tour of the opulent Newport Mansions. History buffs, rejoice! Newport has more restored colonial-era structures than any other city in the United States. The best place to go looking for landmarks is on Historic Hill. Don't miss the Trinity Church. Built in 1725, it features a three-tier wineglass pulpit - the only one of its kind in America. 30-Sep Portland, Maine 9:00 AM 7:00 PM Docked Portland offers a unique combination of Maine's rich history and its own vibrant culture. Local artisans offer their handiwork along the streets of the Arts District and the Old Port Exchange. It's a collection of 19th-century brick buildings originally constructed to support the vast export and fishing industries. Visit the Bayonne Bridge in Bayonne, New Jersey, which is one of the longest steel arch bridges in the world. It's not only impressive in size, but also in looks. When it opened in 1931, the American Institute for Steel Construction named the bridge the 'Most Beautiful Steel Arch'. See more than a century's worth of fire-fighting history at the Chief John T. Brennan Fire Museum in Bayonne, New Jersey. First used in 1870, the firehouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings.
