2 Itinerary for Britain Tour with Vietnam stopovers Included meals are indicated as B = Breakfast, L = Lunch, D = Dinner Australia - Saigon - Hanoi, Vietnam Depart Sydney at 10.15am on VN 772, arriving in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) at 4.15pm. Depart Melbourne at 10.35am on VN 780, arriving in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) at 4.25pm. All passengers then depart Saigon at 6.30pm on VN 266, arriving in Hanoi at 8.30pm. Upon arrival you are met and transferred to your five star hotel for an overnight stay. Accommodation: Intercontinental Hotel (B/L/D) Hanoi - Halong Bay This morning we are taken on a scenic four hour drive to Halong Bay. Halong Bay is one of the seven natural wonders of the world and listed as a World Heritage Site. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is known in Vietnamese as 'Dragon Descending Into The Sea'. Picturesque Halong Bay has more than 1,969 limestone islets rising from the clear emerald water. Many of them contain beautiful grottoes. Upon arrival in Halong Bay, we board the Victory Cruise and have lunch on board. We enjoy a fantastic cruise on Halong Bay, including a bamboo boat ride to visit Vung Vieng fishing village and then a swim in the water off the boat. Dinner will be on board the ship while watching the sunset, depending on the weather conditions. If you wish there is also an opportunity to try some squid fishing. Accommodation: Victory Cruise (B/L/D) Halong Bay - Hanoi We have a few more hours on the ship before heading back to Hanoi. In this time we can join a Tai Chi lesson on the Sundeck before breakfast. Then we have a choice to visit Sung Sot Cave by climbing a few hundred steps, or visit Luon Cave by a small bamboo boat. We also see Bai Tu Long Bay, Toad Island and Bai Tho Mountain. There is a buffet brunch on board before disembarking the ship and making our way back to Hanoi, arriving in the mid afternoon. Upon arrival in Hanoi we visit Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and then have an interesting cyclo ride around the Old and the French Quarter. This evening we enjoy the water puppet show, which is the unique art of the Vietnamese since the 11th century, before having dinner at Jackson restaurant. Afterwards we are transferred to the airport for your flight to London Hanoi - London Depart Hanoi at 12.30am on VN 55, arriving in London (Heathrow Airport) at 6.40am. You will be transferred to your centrally located London hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore this wonderful city. Note: The usual hotel check-in time is in the mid afternoon, but the hotel will provide access to your room as soon as it is available. If you would like to be guaranteed immediate access to your room you will need to book the night before, at an additional cost of $201 per person twin share or $345 single room. We visit St Pauls Cathedral and see the Changing of the Guard (if held). This afternoon why not join an optional excursion to the Tower of London or Windsor Castle. Accommodation: Hilton London Metropole or similar London - Stonehenge - Bath - Newport, Wales This morning meet your tour director and travelling companions and depart London for a memorable day of sightseeing. We have a special visit to admire the breathtaking ornamental gardens of Henry VIII's Hampton Court Palace as well as prehistoric Stonehenge with its stunning new visitor centre. Then onto the elegant Georgian city of Bath to see the amazing excavations of the Roman Baths. Afterwards we cross the River Severn into Wales. This evening enjoy dinner with wine at your hotel. Continue along the South Wales coast to Fishguard, where your ferry is waiting. Sail across St George's Channel to Rosslare and proceed by coach to Waterford, a stronghold founded by Danish Vikings in 853. After an included dinner this evening, enjoy an Irish coffee demonstration. We proceed to Blarney via the port city of Cork. Blarney is renowned for its magical Kissing Stone. Then onto Killarney for a two night stay. Then onto the Rock of Cashel where St Patrick preached. We then visit the Irish National Stud whose fine thoroughbreds command respect on the racecourses of the world. Tonight you may wish to join an optional Irish cabaret evening including dinner, dancing, songs and laughter. Accommodation: Hilton City or similar Dublin Get an overview of Ireland's capital as you drive to the statue-lined O'Connell Street, elegant Georgian squares and St Patrick's Cathedral. Visit Oscar Wilde's Trinity College, famous for the 1200 year old Book of Kells and the magnificent Old Library. This afternoon is at leisure for you to enjoy this vibrant city. Accommodation: Hilton City or similar Dublin - Malahide - Belfast, Northern Ireland Set in 250 acres of parkland and formerly both fortress and private home of the Talbot family for nearly 800 years, your first visit is at Malahide Castle. 5 Edinburgh - Alnwick - York, England Relax and enjoy vistas of the beautiful North Sea coastline as you drive via Berwickupon-Tweed to Alnwick, voted the best place to live in Britain in a national survey. In York, England's most complete medieval city, visit York Minister, the largest gothic cathedral in Northern Europe. Then follow your tour director through the maze of quaint streets including the narrow Shambles. Depart London at 1.10pm on VN 50, arriving in Saigon at 7.20am the next morning ( ) (B/L/D) Saigon Upon arrival in Saigon you are met by your tour guide and transferred to the Caravelle Hotel for breakfast. Afterwards we commence a half day tour of Saigon, including a short walking tour around downtown, passing the Opera House, City Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral and The Central Post Office. After that you visit the former Presidential Palace (Reunification Palace), the War Remnants Museum. Pho (traditional Vietnamese noodle soup) and spring rolls will be for lunch. After lunch we check into the hotel and the remainder of the day is at leisure. Dinner this evening is at a local restaurant. Accommodation: Caravelle Hotel (B/L/D) Saigon - Mekong Delta This morning we depart the hotel for a coach trip to My Tho, which is a two hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City. My Tho is a prosperous town of 200,000 inhabitants in the Mekong Delta. It is famous for its extensive orchards and immense rice fields. Enjoy a boat ride on the Mekong River with visits to an orchard on an island and an opportunity to taste some fruit. We continue on small sampans through the canals to

6 see more local life. We have a horse carriage ride which was the traditional transportation of the local people. Afterwards we visit a coconut candy workshop and a bee keeping farm, with lunch included at a typical farmer's house in the Mekong. We return to Saigon in the late afternoon. This evening we enjoy an excellent dinner cruise on Saigon River. Accommodation: Caravelle Hotel (B/L) Saigon - Cu Chi Tunnels This morning we leave Saigon on a scenic 65km drive through rubber and tapioca plantations to the northwest of Saigon to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, which are an amazing complex of underground tunnels used during the Vietnam War. We have a farewell lunch at a local restaurant and then some time at leisure with a late checkout in the hotel. Later this afternoon we are transferred to the airport for our flights home. 7 Conditions for Macleay Valley Travel's Britain Tour with Vietnam Stopovers Deposits and Payments - A non-refundable deposit of $600 per person is payable within 7 days of booking. This deposit is not refundable should you later cancel. The balance is payable in full 12 weeks prior to departure. Refunds and Cancellations - Cancellations after final payment will result in a refund limited to whatever we can recoup from the airline. Insurance - Adequate travel insurance is essential. We can arrange this for you if desired. Macleay Valley Travel offers Suresave Travel Insurance. Please note that we can only process your travel insurance when we have received full payment for the insurance and the signed Suresave Travel Insurance application form, located on the last page of the Suresave Travel Insurance information booklet. Until this time the travel insurance cannot be processed and will not be valid. Macleay Valley Travel will bare no responsibility for any consequences that may occur as a result of an incomplete insurance application. Passports - All travellers require a current passport with at least 6 months left on it at the end of the tour. Non- Australian passport holders require a re-entry visa for Australia. A double entry visa is required for all passport holders to Vietnam. The current visa fee for a double entry visa for an Australian passport holder is $140 and we charge $30 for processing. Please note that this price is subject to change. We do not recommend that you apply for your Vietnamese visa online, as this can result in delays at the airport when you arrive. There are also certain risks associated with this process which we hold no responsibility for. Please note that if you intend to get a visa online/arrival, you do so at your own risk. The tour group will not wait for any time spent obtaining visas at the airport and you may need to arrange a separate transfer at your own expense. Basic Tour Price and Taxes - Air taxes and fuel levies are included in the basic tour price if the tour is paid in full on or before the due date on the final invoice. Macleay Valley Travel reserves the right to charge for any increase in air taxes and fuel levies if the tour is not paid in full by the due date. Not Included in the Cost - Travel insurance, visas and all items of a personal nature such as telephone calls, drinks, excess baggage, tips, meals (except those specified in the itinerary), etc. are not included in the cost. Similarly, credit card payments can only be accepted if 2% is added to the price to help defray the heavy merchant fees charged to us by the credit card companies. There is a 3% surcharge for Diners Club. Breakaway Fee - All fully inclusive prices are based on group travel and any deviation from the set itinerary will incur a breakaway fee. Booking through other Agents - As we keep the cost of our tours as low as possible, there is insufficient margin for us to be able to pay commission to other travel agents, so some bookings can only be accepted if the client pays the other agent's commission.
