1 November 12, 2018 To: Re: FCYC Officers, Directors and Alternate Directors, all FCYC Club Commodores, and Managers of FCYC Clubs January 11-13, 2019 FCYC Weekend The St. Petersburg Yacht Club is honored to be the host of the general meeting of the Council on the weekend of January 11-13, We are pleased to welcome you to our beautiful city and hope you can arrive a bit early that weekend to enjoy the company of our members and fellow members of the Council Clubs. Our St. Petersburg FCYC Planning Committee, club manager and staff, have planned activities and dining experiences that will surely make your visit to our Sunshine City by the Bay a magical weekend. Registration will take place in our Front Lobby on Friday, January 11th, from 3:00-6:00 pm and again, Saturday, January 12th, from 8:30-11:00 am. On Saturday, the 12 th, you are welcome to take advantage of the Breakfast Buffet, for $9++/per guest, located in the Bridge Room on the second floor until 10:00 am. Your weekend begins with a Comedy Hypnosis Show & Dinner on Friday evening from 6:00-9:00 pm. Saturday morning, we have planned two excursions to two very different and brand new venues in St. Pete, beginning at 10:00 am. 1) The James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art and 2) vomfass Tasting. You can choose which one to visit first. Combined cost for both excursions is $25/per guest (only tickets are needed for the James Museum, which may be picked up during registration on Friday or Saturday). Lunch is on your own downtown with numerous choices located on Beach Drive, or dine in our Heritage Lounge or poolside at the Tiki Hut. *A Special Invitation - Our Fleet Captain and Alternate Director, Angela Kowalik, cordially invites council members who are arriving early to attend the Cruising Fleet Program Dinner Meeting on Thursday, January 10th. The program includes a representative from the City of St. Petersburg who will give an update on the new Pier coming to downtown St. Petersburg.* On Saturday, for those of you attending meetings, the list of meetings and times will be posted in your welcome packet; followed by an Italian luncheon buffet in the Regatta Room on the first floor. The highlight of the day will be on Saturday evening at the "Ocean Paradise" Dinner & Dance in the Ballroom. (Dress Friday is "yacht club casual" - dress shirt and slacks or dresses for women. Saturday during the day time "yacht club summer uniform" and for Saturday evening "yacht club winter uniform.") To finish up the weekend Sunday morning, you are invited to enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast from 8:00-10:00 am in the Commodore Room. If you plan on staying a bit longer, feel free to take advantage of our Sunday Brunch Buffet for $16++/per guest, plus an unlimited Mimosa bar for $15++/per guest. (Reservations required) All reservations and cancellations for the weekend must be received from your club manager on the enclosed forms by fax ( ) or via to member.services@spyc.org by Friday, December 28, Docking reservations will be honored in the order received and should be submitted by your club manager along with all other forms. 6 Marina & Dockage Info SPYC Marina Dockmaster in attendance from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Mon - Thurs. and 7:30 am - 5:30 pm Fri. -Sun. Showers, soft drinks, ice, laundry facilities and wireless internet available on the docks. Gasoline and diesel available from 8:45 am - 4:30 pm daily. Reservations are required in advance. Transient slips available for vessels up to 120 ft. in length and 12 ft. draft (at mean tide). Current FCYC dockage rates are available upon request. Water and cable TV is available at all slips. Check out time is 11:00 am unless arrangements have been made with the Dockmaster. $50.00 charge for less than 24 hour cancellation. Vessels visiting the Pass-a-Grille Marina must make reservations through the Dockmaster at our downtown location.
