2 Company Profile Our Services EMCS International Limited is a family run business based on the Isle of Man (British Isles) with a proven background as one of the most highly regarded and sought after service providers in the marine industry. EMCS was established in 2000 by current owner and Managing Director Steve George to fill an identified need in the marine industry worldwide for highly skilled, efficient, cost-effective and properly supervised labour for afloat and ashore repairs worldwide. Steve has over thirty-five years experience in the maritime industry, from Chief Engineer to Technical Director. EMCS understands the maritime industry, having wide ranging and extensive experience with owners, managers and operators of all types of vessels, offshore structures and shipyards, vessel construction sites and repair facilities. EMCS s company profile and services are continually improving and expanding in line with the ever changing requirements of the maritime industry. The programme is based in the Isle of Man and is conducted over an intensive nine day period. The Course is endorsed by DNV, IMarEST, the Nautical Institute, the Isle of Man Marine Administration and counts towards delegates Professional Development (CPD) points. Typical Delegate Profile Whilst the course was originally designed with sea-going engineers/newly appointed superintendents in mind, the typical delegate profile has changed considerably since the first programme in 2006 as it has become clear that the course is of great benefit to all manner of backgrounds and experience within the marine industry.
