12 Needleless ports The needleless port is closed safety system that provides microbiological safety, used for repeated application and aspiration from intravenous accessories (syringes, infusion sets, cannulas, cocks, catheters, extension tubes) with Luer termination in infusion therapy, injection therapy, taking of samples, chemotherapy and the system can also be used for MR examination. This is one-piece closed system. Different colours of needleless ports in red and blue facilitates identification or arterial or venous line. 14 Stoppers The stoppers are intended for safe closing where Luer closure is needed. The combination of MLL and FLL connectors allows safe and universal use for closing of syringes, intravenous catheters, three-way cocks, ramps and other infusion systems. 16 Three-way taps, ramps The taps, rampsare intended for concurrent infusion therapies for administration of infusions or medicaments. They allow setup, control or termination of required fluid flow direction. They are intended for pressure as well as gravity applications up to 2 bar pressure for up to 72 hours for three-way taps or 1.5 bar for max 72 hours for ramps. They are connected to the infusion set according to arrow in the infusion solution flow direction. This is one-piece system. The double-ended piercing spikes are intended for conversion (mixing) of sterile solutions in closed system between two containers, closed with rubber plug. The safety valvesare intended for discontinuous injections of medicines using the rubber stopper produced from latex-free material for repeated use and protection against bacterial contamination. The safety valves can be used both for gravity as well as pressure infusion systems up to 2 bar. 22 Flow regulators The flow regulator infusion is intended for gravity infusion flow control. The flow regulator infusion may be used for saline of viscosity from 0.9 % NaCl up to 40 % of glucose solution. It is universal for connection to all types of the infusion sets.
