1 Summer Camp Sessions Camps are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. To maintain the quality of our programs, we reserve the right to limit size, or to cancel a camp if insufficient registrations are received. Due to the nature of some of the camp activities (i.e. art projects, parts in presentations, etc.) it is necessary that all campers attend each day. Complete the registration form below and return with appropriate fee (as listed below) to Sandra Flurer in the school s front office. The attached Medical Form should also be returned with this registration. Refund Policy: After June 1, 2018, refunds of prepaid fees cannot be made, or transferred to other school accounts. Cancellation Policy: Occasionally insufficient registration means that we may have to cancel a camp. If we cannot offer an acceptable substitute, the fee for that camp will be fully refunded. 3 Session 1 July 9-13, 2018 LEVEL UP: GAMER CREATOR GRADES ENTERING: 6-9 IN SEPTEMBER 2018 CAMP DIRECTOR: NANCY RASKAUSKAS After learning how to code three types of 2Dgames, Campers will learn to design 2D characters and terrains as well as backgrounds for their 2D platformer game and add their own levels. Fee: $150 COOKING AROUND THE WORLD GRADES ENTERING: 3-6 IN SEPTEMBER 2018 CAMP DIRECTORS: CAMILLE JENKINS & SARA TIMMONS Join us for a culinary journey through 5 countries. We will be making traditional meals and desserts while stamping our passports with cultural activities and crafts. Come travel & taste with us! Fee: $170 SCIENCE SLEUTHS: DISCOVERING THE MYSTERIES OF SCIENCE GRADES ENTERING: 1-3 IN SEPTEMBER 2018 CAMP DIRECTORS: CHERYL MARSHALL & ANGIE BUNTING Science Sleuths will discover and investigate science mysteries in a hands-on environment of fun and learning. Campers will create their own lab coats and go on scientific ecological adventure to Pocomoke River State Park. S.T.E.A.M ADVENTURES GRADES ENTERING: 3-6 IN SEPTEMBER 2018 CAMP DIRECTORS: SANDY TAYLOR & BRITTANY FLURER At STEAM Adventures Camp, you don't just learn science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics: You MAKE IT- You CREATE IT- You BUILD IT! Campers will experience challenges as well as engage in creative experiences. Campers will board a bus and visit NASA for a tour of the Wallops Flight Facility and Visitor Center. GAMES GALORE GRADES ENTERING: 2-5 IN SEPTEMBER 2018 CAMP DIRECTOR: CAROL HARTNETT Do you like to play GAMES? Do you like to challenge yourself? This is the camp for you. Come out and play 3 hours of non-stop games! Be prepared for Noodle Hockey, Beach Ball Volleyball, Dodging games, Tag and more. Camp will also include recreational games like Burn Ball, Capture the Flag and Kick the Can! Bring your water bottle and your game face. Remember No Guts! No Glory! Campers should bring a water bottle. Fee: $105 WORCESTER ARTS WORKSHOP: CAMPFIRE TALES GRADES ENTERING: 4-8 IN SEPTEMBER 2018 CAMP DIRECTORS: JOANIE BRITTINGHAM & REBECCA TITTERMARY Discover what it is like to develop a full production for the stage. Start by writing a script and selecting songs, then work to create props and sets for the stage. Finally practice and perform your show on the Friday afternoon. Vocal and instrumental roles will be available. Are you more of a backstage person? Don t worry! Directors, stage crew, costume designers and makeup artists play important roles in the theater. Join us for a week of ARTS IN MOTION. Fee: $160

4 Session 1 July 9-13, 2018 Continued BASKETBALL SKILLS & DRILLS (Co- Ed) GRADES ENTERING 5-8 IN SEPTEMBER 2018 CAMP DIRECTOR: JP MACTYRE (Junior Varsity Boys Basketball Coach) All ballers or soon to be Hall of Famers need to checkout this camp! We will spend the mornings having fun and learning the fundamentals of basketball including dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, footwork, rebounding and team principals. We will also scrimmage against each other and have a BALL! Campers should wear non-marking athletic shoes and bring a water bottle. FIELD HOCKEY FUN CAMP GRADES ENTERING 3-8 IN SEPTEMBER 2018 CAMP DIRECTOR: KATIE OXENREIDER (Varsity Field Hockey Coach) Discover the fun in Field Hockey! Learn a new sport or continue to grow in a sport you love! Learning the basics as well as work on new stick skills in a fun environment this summer!! 5 Session 2 July 16-20, 2018 JOURNEY TO WPS: Star Wars the Force Awakens GRADES ENTERING: 1-3 IN SEPTEMBER 2018 CAMP DIRECTORS: CHERYL MARSHALL AND ANGIE BUNTING Come join us in a galaxy far, far away. The force awakens campers to learn about space and combine a love of Star Wars adventures. We will travel to the NASA Flight Center and experience first-hand what it s like to travel to space. May the force be with you young Jedi. BECOME A CARTOON CREATOR TIME 9-3 GRADES ENTERING 6-8 IN SEPTEMBER 2018 CAMP DIRECTOR: NANCY RASKAUSKAS Become an animator using the exciting new software that professionals are using to create episodes of such cartoons as The Simpsons, ToonTrump and Cartoon Presidents with Stephen Colbert. Campers will create their own characters, props, scenes and sounds to make a fully animated cartoon episode that will be uploaded for viewing online. Fee: $150 I VE SEEN THAT-film criticism class GRADES ENTERING: IN SEPTEMBER 2018 CAMP DIRECTOR: KEITH GEIGER Are you tired of the hot sun, the watery ocean, and terrifying seagulls? Then spend a week inside watching and discussing movies with Mr. Geiger. This year, we will be exploring famous directors, and what they have contributed to the current cinema. Most importantly, you want to be able to say, I ve seen that. Fee: $140 STITCHES AND SUCH CRAFT CAMP GRADES ENTERING: 3-6 IN SEPTEMBER 2018 CAMP DIRECTORS: SARA TIMMONS AND CAMILLE JENKINS Join us for a fun week of crafts! Campers will spend the time sewing, cross stitching, and putting together a blanket among lots of other fun, crafty activities. If you love to create, this is the perfect camp for you! LAX IT UP- GIRLS LACROSSE CAMP GRADES ENTERING 3-8 IN SEPTEMBER 2018 CAMP DIRECTOR: BROOKE HAHN (Varsity Girls Lacrosse Coach) Come learn or improve your skills with the exciting game of lacrosse. Join other girls cradling, passing, catching, and scoring on the WPS fields. A week of fun individualized attention on skill building, competition and prizes! Campers should bring equipment and a water bottle. FIGHTING MALLARD BOYS LACROSSE CAMP GRADES ENTERING: 4-9 IN SEPTEMBER 2018 CAMP DIRECTOR: KEVIN GATES (Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coach) LACROSSE IS FUN! This action-packed camp is led by Worcester s Varsity Boys Lacrosse coach Kevin Gates who has had the pleasure of coaching at almost every level of lacrosse. This camp will help players develop the fundamental skills necessary for the game. Drills are designed to improve stick handling, dodges, face-offs, passing shooting and clearing. There will be individual and team drills culminating in the final scrimmage. Lacrosse is the same game at every level; therefore, campers will start with the basics and build from there. Campers should bring equipment and a water bottle. Camper will have a week full of hands-on activities and fun experiments that focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM). An exciting field trip to NASA is planned. If you love to tinker, to build, or to create this camp is for you! Campers will also participate in an hour session of "Space Exploration Engineering Challenges with a Rigamajig kit at the NASA Wallops Flight Facility Visitor Center.
