Technology Distribution Innovations (TDI) was set up by David Butlion in David began his career as International Sales Manager for Bedford Trucks/General Motors in the UK and who later developed the FREEPLAY Wind up Radio. David then secured the tender to develop and manufacture the Gecko Military All Terrain vehicle to Armscor. Sadly David passed away in 2005 and his companies have been continued by his children Lisa, Mark and Angela. TDI has been operating in South Africa and parts of Africa for 15 years and is the recognized supplier of QUEUE management systems to most of the continents large corporate companies. Most of TDI s products are based on CONSTANT FORCE SPRING TECHNOLOGY. TDI promotes LOCAL manufacture, but also recognizes that it is sometimes necessary to import cutting edge technological products and components and therefore includes both options within its product range. TDI has been the SOLE South African agent for the TENSATOR range of Queue Management Systems for 15 years. Tensator invented the TENSABAR- RIER which is the name and registered trademark for the world s FIRST and ORIGINAL retractable webbing queue management system. Tensator has been in business for 50 years and their market presence extends to over 170 countries, this is a testament both to achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction across all continents and their commitment to ongoing development and expansion of the Tensator product range. TDI promotes a SOLUTION SALE approach to business and we are very successful in putting together a package of more then one product to suit our customer s needs. This product was developed by TDI to try and combat the problem of never having a pen around when you need it! Branding on the units and pens is available. Tensabarrier This product utilizes a stainless steel post and base cover. This is an up market version of the standard Tensabarrier and is proving to be very popular with clients who want to upgrade their corporate image. 4 06 t.d.i. is now offering the stainless steel tensabarrier post system End Posts These posts DO NOT contain webbing tape. They can only be positioned at the end of a queue line. End posts can be restrictive if you wish to change your queue layout around and therefore, most of our customers purchase all of their posts with tapes inside them. 07 tdi also FuLLY IMPORts ALL of the tensator products. Branding is available on ALL of our products. tensabarrier Freestanding Posts One tensabarrier post contains 2.3 Metres of retractable webbing tape. We recommend you only extend the tape to 2 metres, thereby allowing customers to pull at the system without knocking it over. Each post system weighs 12kg, and is 900mm high. Wall clip tensababy Our new ECONOMICAL post, each Tensababy post is 800mm high, and base and post colours are available in epoxy-coated silver and black only., with a weight of 10kg. Wall Mounted tensabarrier Wall Mounted Unit available in Black or Silver housing with a choice of 10 tape colours. All units come with a wall clip and is available as either a locally-made product or fully imported. Imported units have a wider range of tape colours. Colour Options The post and base cover standard colour options are BLACK, GOLD or SILVER, however, we can epoxy powder coat in any colour.

5 08 09 All-Weather Outdoor tensabarrier Post contains 4 metres of retractable outdoor webbing tape. The post is plastic and is available in assorted colours. The base is dark grey and is filled with sand or water. The webbing tape is available in a wide range of plain and chevron colours. Webbing tape Colours There are 10 standard colours available locally (see below), however you can see the full range of Tensabarrier webbing tape colours on the Tensator website. Customised colours are also available providing the quantity required is reasonable. Black/Yellow Chevron, Red, Burgundy, Light Blue, Royal Blue, Navy Blue, dark Green, Grey, Black or Red/White Chevron. tdi fully imports two weather resistant products which can be used in parking areas, petrol forecourts, golf courses and many other places. utility Barrier Post contains 4 metres of retractable webbing tape. The post is plastic and is available in assorted colours. The base is rubber. The webbing tape is available in a wide range of plain and chevron colours. Custom Branding on Webbing tapes Branding of the webbing tapes is available on any quantity. Important safety FEATURES The Tensabarrier retractable webbing tape mechanism contains a click lock tape end as standard. This locking device prevents customers removing the tape from position and therefore allowing it to retract and cause injury. Our anti-tamper security tape end/locking end is a CLICK LOCK system and clicks locked once in place. A small button above the receiver unlocks the tape. Most other retractable tape mechanisms have a high speed retraction therefore increasing the chance of the tape hitting a customer, especially a child, and causing injury. OUR cassette contains a PATENTED CENTRIFUGAL BRAKING SYSTEM incorporating two high friction brake shoes with integral self lubricating materials. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. As Tensator has been in the Q Management business for 50 years, they have discovered overseas that safety is a vital issue and take this into consideration when developing their products.

6 10 11 Solid Cross Beam This system consists of Tensabarrier end posts with a solid Cross Beam in-between them. This system can be used in conjunction with Tensabarrier retractable webbing tape posts to give flexibility.one or both sides. TDI/TENSATOR MESH PANEL BARRIER SYSTEM This product was developed specifically for the AIRPORT environment. It is very sturdy and robust. This product consists of a heavy duty 18kg base weight, aluminium cross beams and you have the option of snapper advertising frames on one or both sides.

10 18 Catelogue 19 TDI Rope Range TDI manufactures the posts locally and fully imports all of the ropes and fittings from Tensator. We choose to do this, as the quality and choice of ropes is far superior to the locally made ranges. Colour Options The post and base cover standard colour options are BLACK, GOLD or SILVER, however, we can epoxy powder coat in any colour. Ropes are available in BRAIDED, TWISTED and VELOUR and the full range of options can be seen on the Tensator website. A full range of accessories are availble for all Post & Rope options! The spring loaded Pushers force product to the front of a shelf, therefore ensuring that the point of sale units remain tidy at all times. Perspex Leaflet dispensors These are ideal to hang over our either our Cross beam or Mesh panel barrier systems. They can be configured to any size. IN Q Merchandiser This In-Q panel system can be a stand-along item or can be used in conjunction with Tensabarrier retractable belt posts. There are a wide range of shelves, wire baskets and hanging prong options.

Reaching the balance between consumer access and temptation to a thief is certainly difficult. Recoil offers an effective, low cost solution to ensure this balance is achieved. All of the Recoil cassettes measure 45mm in diameter and contain a stainless steel retractable cord. There are a wide range of standard fittings to provide flexibility in use. All Recoil options can be surface mounted through the 5mm centre hole or attached with a strong adhesive pad.
