2 All Classrooms include the following: LCD Projector Elmo Document Camera DVD/VHS Player Desktop Computer with internet access and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel Whiteboard A/V hookups for instructor laptop if needed Wireless network access A 30 station Mobile Laptop Cart can be added to most rooms for an additional fee Where noted, classrooms have external access to either the EVOC course or the front of the building.

Room 102 A - is considered a multipurpose classroom.

3 Room 102 A - is considered a multipurpose classroom. 102A has folding rectangle tables that seat 2 people per table and seats 24 people total. Room 102A also has an exterior door to allow for access to the EVOC course or other outdoor training resources. Room 102 B - is considered a multipurpose classroom. 102B has folding rectangle tables that seat 2 people per table and seats 24 people total. Room 102A/B rooms can be combined to make a one large classroom.

Room 103 also has an exterior door to allow for access to the front parking lot and a handicap accessible ramp.

4 Room is a tiered classroom. This tiered classroom has 7 rows of tables and chairs and seats a total of 80 participants. Room 103 also has an exterior door to allow for access to the front parking lot and a handicap accessible ramp. Both 103 and 105 have network ports and electrical outlets on the tables to allow laptops to be plugged in. Room is a tiered classroom. Room 104 A/B can be combined to create one large multi-purpose room that seats approximately 44 people.

7 Room is a large classroom. This room has rectangle tables, set in rows and seats 35 people. This room is subject to prior scheduling by the Northern Nevada Law Enforcement Academy. Room 108 is a small classroom and have round tables and seats people.

8 Room 109 = is a large classroom, traditionally used by the Northern Nevada Fire Academy has rectangle tables, set in rows and seats people. This room is subject to prior scheduling by the Northern Nevada Fire Academy. Room 110 is a medium sized classroom which can accommodate up to 24 people. It has a rectangle loop of tables with an open space in the middle of the loop.

The design consists of a pit filled with tires and a plywood surface covered by a ½ thick padded mat surface.

9 Room 111 Defensive Tactics/Mat room this is a mat room for physical conditioning, arrest methods or defensive tactics training. The floor was specially constructed to reduce injury potential during training activities due to falls. The design consists of a pit filled with tires and a plywood surface covered by a ½ thick padded mat surface. The room also contains a mock detention cell designed to replicate real inmate housing situations for training in cell searches, extrications and a variety of detention related work functions. Room 112 is a small classroom. The room has rectangle tables, set in rows and seats 24 people.

Paramedic & EMT academies. Room 214 is a larger classroom.

10 Room 213 is a larger classroom. This room has rectangle tables, set in rows and seats 24 people. This room is subject to prior scheduling by the TMCC Paramedic & EMT academies. Room 214 is a larger classroom. This room has rectangle tables, set in rows and seats 30 people. Room 216 is a larger classroom and has rectangle tables, set rows, which seat up to 30 people.

11 Room 218 is a larger classroom with rectangle tables, set in rows. This room seats up to 24 people. This room is subject to prior scheduling by the Reno Fire Department.

12 Specialized Rooms Room 101, Chemistry Lab This room has 3 elevated lab style tables which seat 8 for a total of 24 students It features a fuming hood, centrifuges and microscopes. Room 106, Classroom this room has NO STATION but is equipped with a TV and DVD player and has 6 rectangle folding tables. This room seats 12 people.

13 Room 215/Computer Lab this room has 20 student computers and 1 instructor computer and accommodates 20 students. All computers have internet access, printing and Office Applications. We also have two small conference rooms with conference table and chairs.

14 Additional Training Resources Burn Building - Realistic firefighter training is enhanced through the use of the RPSTC s seven story Drill Tower/Burn Building. Designed for high angle rescue, ground and aerial ladder drills, high rise hose evolution, rappel entry an exit, automatic sprinkler training and live fire simulations. The building is equipped with Symtron natural gas burn simulators that produce high temperature fire effects and artificial smoke for dynamic training.

The skills training area of the Center is home to some of the finest public safety training props available. The Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) consists of a 300 x 300 concrete skid pad, perception reaction course with instructor controlled traffic signals and a ¾ mile asphalt pursuit track.

16 Four Wheel Drive/Rough Terrain Course The Four-wheel drive course is designed specifically to suit the training needs of off road vehicles such as brush rigs and search and rescue vehicles. It includes areas of sand; off camber hill climbs; five point turns; backing; uphill/downhill and sidehill turns; and areas which can be filled with water to simulate creek crossings and boggy areas.

ATV Rough Terrain Course The All - Terrain Course has six stations; an up/down hill climb; backing;

17 ATV Rough Terrain Course The All - Terrain Course has six stations; an up/down hill climb; backing; s- turn; k-turn; log hop; and side hill stations. This course was designed and created by Washoe County Sheriff s Office Search & Rescue Team. Shooting Ranges Live firearms training is conducted on-site at one of four ranges designed for pistol; shotgun; tactical firearms and rifle shooting. The ranges are equipped with a computerized Action Target Systems for moving and turning target acquisition. The Armory building has a classroom, weapons cleaning room and storage bays for training supplies.

18 Residential Structure Prop - The Residential Structure Prop is a furnished single-wide mobile home. This prop can be used for learning activities including, but not limited to: Force on Force training Building searches for person, contraband and hazardous materials Fire and EMS Medical Aid and Rescue response Tactical Operations Training Artificial/theatrical (mineral based) smoke producing dispersion devices may be used in or around this prop, with the following limitations: When the weather conditions and dispersion volume is such that dissipation fails to occur before: A) Reaching the Administration Building or Emergency Operations Center, and/or B)Reaching the area where another training activity is occurring or C) Reaching the Center property line with the potential to affect vehicular traffic and/or adjacent neighborhoods. The Residential Structure Prop is a no-burn prop K-9 s may enter and traverse the carpeted surfaces of the prop for training purposes, but should not be allowed on furnishings due to hygiene concerns and potential damage. Mechanical and/or manual breaching of doors and windows is prohibited.

19 Confined Space Prop Fire & Search and Rescue Training A confined space rescue prop was added to provide specialized tactical fire and search and rescue training. Fire departments and rescue squads face major commitments in training time and equipment to learn the skills and safety requirements associated with rescue and confined space entry. This specially designed and constructed prop provides a realistic, yet safe environment to conduct specialized rescue training activities. Multiple below grade vaults connected underground by 30 and 36 pipes replicate various below grade environments that every jurisdiction must deal with. The prop is designed to simulate sewer, mineshaft, and culvert size area rescues.

Collapsed Space Prop, a.k.a. The Rubble Pile The most recent addition to the Regional Public Safety Training Center the expansion of the Collapsed Structure Prop, better known as The Rubble Pile.

20 Collapsed Space Prop, a.k.a. The Rubble Pile The most recent addition to the Regional Public Safety Training Center the expansion of the Collapsed Structure Prop, better known as The Rubble Pile. This prop consists of a maze of concrete pipes, boxes and spaces buried under large quantities of construction materials and debris to simulate a building, bridge or other structure collapse. This prop is one of only several of its kind in the country designed for this type of search and rescue operations.

21 Hazmat/Rail Cars - Near the drill tower are rail and tanker cars positioned on tracks for hazardous materials, search & rescue, and tactical training applications. Future fire training components include a trench rescue prop and propane burn props to simulate automobile and fuel tank fires.
