2 summer day camps Our energetic group of counselors are eager to spend their day with your child! Our summer camps emphasize the values of respect, responsibility, and honesty. We offer week-long day camps throughout the months of June, July, and August. 3 camp schedule art week: june We are kicking off our 2015 Summer Camp experience with one of our most popular weeks: Art Week! Campers will mold and paint their own clay art, make colorful mosaics, and create other beautiful artwork under the instruction of a guest art teacher from Studio 2 You. During this fun-filled week, we will learn about different types of art, make homemade play-dough, and enjoy plenty of time in the sun! plateau explorers: june 29 - july 3 Have you ever wondered how we keep the golf course grass so green? Or how Chef Dieter makes his many famous dishes? Campers will get a special, behind-the-scenes look at The Plateau Club during this newly offered week of summer camp! space: the final frontier: july 6-10 Come and explore the cosmos with us at The Plateau Club. We will spend the week exploring outer space from our solar system to far away galaxies! Campers will make a mission to the moon, learn to moon walk, create constellation night lights, launch rocket ships, and much more during the out-ofthis-world week of camp. animal planet: july If it flies, crawls, or walks on Earth, chances are we will talk about it during this animal-filled week. Each day, campers will learn about animals from different parts of the world: the African Savana, Pacific Northwest, Amazon Rainforest, and Arctic Tundra! On Friday, we will look for all of the animals we talked about during the week on our field trip. 3

4 super-secret spy week: july Grab your favorite spy gadgets because we are spending the week learning to be secret agents! Naturally, we cannot predict what type of missions our cadets may be assigned during their time at Super-Secret Spy Week, but rest assured it will involve invisible ink, decoding secret messages, investigating crime scenes, and solving mysteries in order to keep The Plateau Club safe! planes, rockets, and flight: July Have you ever wanted to be a pilot? Maybe an astronaut? Come and learn about what makes planes fly, rockets soar, and bottle rockets explode during this week-long camp. We will be building our own airplanes, crafting our own rackets, and even blowing up a thing or two. Don t worry parents, this will be educational and SAFE! wacky water works: August 3-7 Our most popular camp is back and better than ever! Campers will explore all forms of water by creating ice sculptures, water firework art, and sponge water bombs! Prepare to play all of your favorite water games including sink the ship, water balloon relay, penguin, drip-drip-drip, Dr. Octopus, and water balloon dodge ball. plateau olympics: august Grab your face paint and lace up your cleats: Plateau Olympics is back by popular demand! Campers will split up into countries, design flags, come up with national anthems, and enjoy some friendly competition. Countries will compete in relay games, sack races, obstacle courses, and sporting events. At the end of the week, we will have an awards ceremony to honor our camper athletes! serious science: august What makes the sky blue? Mentos and Coke blow up, but why? Is oobleck a solid or a liquid? We will answer these questions and more as we explore the amazing world of science! Each day, campers will explore a different type of science: geology, chemistry, biology, and ecology. On Friday, we will take a field trip! 4

Members that cancel reservations after Friday will be charged for 50% of the reservation cost. Drop-in policy If a full-week reservation is made less than 7 days in advance, a $30 fee will be assessed. If drop-in reservations are made with less than 3 days notice, a $15 fee will be assessed. 5

6 frequently asked questions What should kids bring to camp? Sunscreen, swim suit, goggles, tennis racket (if you have one), running shoes, and a lunch (or lunch can be ordered from the Splash) What is the camper to counselor ratio? We have one counselor for every five campers How are campers transported for field trips? Katie, the Program Manager, rents a large van to transport campers and counselors How do I get my child to golf, tennis, swim lessons, or swim practice if he/she is in camp? Counselors will take your child wherever he/she needs to be. Just make sure you let counselors know! What is SNAG? With Starting New at Golf (SNAG ), children develop necessary skills to successfully improve their golf game. The program builds on strong fundamentals of the different strokes and swings, enabling kids to develop their playing ability quickly and effectively. What is the guest policy? Guests may only attend camp if accompanied by a member. 6

I will practice my active listening skills while at Plateau Club Summer Camps. I understand that instructions given by camp counselors and lifeguards are to ensure my safety and the safety of other campers. 2. I will respect Camp Counselors and other Campers. I will use my words when resolving conflicts with other campers. If I cannot resolve a problem myself, I will ask a Camp Counselor for help. 3. I understand that foul language and physical violence, including but not limited to: hitting, kicking, biting, pinching, and wrestling, will NEVER be tolerated during camp time. 4. I acknowledge that Summer Camps has a screen-free policy. I understand that I will not be allowed to bring electronic devices or games to camps. 5. I will come to camps with a positive attitude and willing to participate in all camp activities. I will encourage and cheer-on fellow campers during group activities. If I cannot participate in an activity for any reason, my parents will let the counselors know ahead of time. I understand that the Summer Camp Disciplinary Procedure is as follows: 2 warnings issued by camp counselors followed by a 15 minute break from activities under the supervision of the camp director. If misbehavior continues, a Behavior Incident Form will be sent home to be signed by a parent and returned to the Plateau Club. Should problems arise that cannot be successfully resolved, parents may be contacted to pick campers up. Camp is all about having fun and making new friends in a safe, respectful environment. I understand that these rules are here to make sure that every camper has an great time here at camp. I promise to follow Plateau Club s Summer Camp Policies while participating in camps this summer.
