1 Perhaps the most significant advance in sink material in recent years has been the development of a composite. This compound consists of 80% natural granite. Its ultra hard structure is extremely tough with the hardness and resistance of Natural stone. It is virtually impossible to scratch and can withstand all household chemicals including bleach. The nature of the material makes it highly resistant to impact and it can also withstand extreme temperatures of up to 280 degrees centigrade.
