3 When you walk, the load on your feet is two to three times your body weight, so it s important to choose shoes that give the feet support, stability and relief with good shock absorption and arch supports, for example. Too soft a shoe with no stability in the arch could lead to the foot bending incorrectly with each step, which can lead to pain in the knees, hips and back. And my answer is always the same unceasing inquisitiveness and a desire to create something new. We are also driven by a desire to develop the tradition we are carrying on. After all, this company has been in the same family for 170 years! The fact that we were first and are still here is clear proof that our values, our way of working and our inquisitiveness result in safety and occupational footwear that always meets, and very often exceeds, our customers requirements and expectations. Another driving force for us as a Swedish company lies in developing Swedish products and demonstrating that we can compete in an international arena. Arbesko is an exceptionally innovative company and we are almost unique in the industry in that we conduct our own research. Our decision to carry out our research, development and production in Sweden was a very conscious choice. This is where the experience and knowledge we need come from. Moreover, thanks to many years of industrial health and safety legislation, the Swedish market places the highest conceivable requirements on us and our products. This raises us and our quality even higher. Some safety and occupational footwear may feel pleasant and soft when you first try them on, but it doesn t necessarily give your feet the right support. Shoes that are too soft make your legs and feet tired, and can lead to pain and strain injuries. A correctly constructed shoe should have effective shock absorption, support the arch of the foot, have a sturdy, rounded heel grip, be torsion resistant and should also bend with the foot. Test these properties out for yourself the next time you try on shoes, and do it with your hands. Try to twist the shoe with your hands. A shoe with an arch support is stable and torsion (twist) resistant, and provides good support for the foot the more torsion resistant the better. Feel the heel grip it should be made of strong material, feel sturdy and should follow the natural roundness of your heel. Grip the heel and the toe and try to bend the whole shoe it should not bend at the arch but just behind the toes.

7 Asymetrix Nitrile Durable and heat resistant Asymetrix Nitrile is our most hard wearing functional sole. Its durability is virtually unmatched. The sole provides excellent grip on all types of slippery surfaces. And it is unbeatable in extremely hot environments. Asymetrix Nitrile can withstand temperatures of up to 300 C, but is not only suitable for jobs requiring high heat resistance. Arbesko safety footwear with a nitrile rubber sole is a natural choice for foundries, metal industries, car workshops and many other tough environments. Water-repellent The leather is impregnated or coated with an outer layer that makes the shoe water-repellent. Energy Gel Energy Gel is an elastic gel cushion placed in the heel of the shoe, and is specially designed to produce optimal effect. The cushion is pressed together by the force of the step, thereby absorbing the shock. In addition to highly effective shock absorption, Energy Gel also gives some of the energy and lifting power back when reverting to its original shape. Energy Gel Duo A highly effective shock-absorbing construction with an elastic gel disc in the tread section of the shoe and an elastic gel cushion in the heel. Energy Gel Duo is an evolution of the well-known Energy Gel and effectively absorbs the strain placed on the foot s tread section when walking and standing a lot on hard floors. A-Tex 2 Unique construction that makes the shoe water resistant. Youth Skills Sweden s mission is to increase interest in trades and vocational education among young people. The organisation organises national competitions, and the winners qualify for the Swedish Skills Team and represent their country in EuroSkills and WorldSkills. The Swedish Skills Team comprises young people (aged up to 22) from different occupations, including bricklayers, welders, florists, goldsmiths, car painters, electricians, hairdressers, cooks, offset printers and professional drivers. 48 Moisture Transport System keeps your feet dry Moisture Transport System is Arbesko s proprietary concept for creating a pleasant environment for working feet. It is based on the shoes, soles and socks working together, on well considered constructions, interwoven air channels and innovative materials. And the result? An effective moisture transport system that keeps feet nice and dry, day after day. Instead of conventional foam rubber, the tongue contains an airy material that breathes and aids ventilation. The socks are made of material that wicks moisture away, keeping feet dry. They also have ventilation channels and thinner sections that effectively lead moisture away from the foot. Ventilating material, fast drying lining, airy constructions and natural leather all to help ventilate moisture out of the shoe, fast. The Poliyou insole wicks moisture away from the foot and sock, and keeps feet nice and dry all day long. The moisture is absorbed by the insole and then evaporates before the next working day.
