1 Note to Scoutmaster: This form is intended for you to photocopy and distribute to your youth as they make their Merit Badge selections for Winter Camp There is a list of Merit Badges in the following pages for scouts to reference. Circle Ten CampMaster Course Selection Form Scout Name: Rank: Would like to buddy with Scout Name: Rank: Years at Camp: Signing up for merit badges is easy! List the courses you wish to take in priority order. See the detailed course list for the course names to choose from. Up to 3 courses can be scheduled in the allotted Winter Camp day. Once you make your selections the CampMaster program will automatically assign times to your course schedule. Keep in mind each Merit Badge class is 50 minutes in length over 3 days total; Merit Badge counselors may offer additional lab times in the afternoon or evening in order to facilitate completion of certain requirements and it will be up to the Scout to listen and follow up with any lab times offered in the afternoon. Additional course names are collected in case some of the top 3 are not available. 3 Welding 14 $25 Wilderness Survival Overnighter on last Program Day Woodcarving $10 Supplies will be provided in class Brotherhood Walk (OA) n/a $20 Must be an OA Ordeal member for at least 10 Months. This will more than likely be done on the night of Dec. 29 th Pay at the Office at Camp. Woodturning (Pen) 30 Mins $5 Max of one Pen can be done! NOTES All Scouts should bring a Merit Badge Worksheet to Class and pencil to class. We also recommend that every scout has a current Merit Badge Book during winter camp. The Merit Badge book should be brought with the scout to Winter Camp, because the Trading Post may not have any in stock. American Labor: We will complete everything except for requirement #2. Archery: All requirements will be completed at camp. There is a qualifying that the scout may or may not complete. Astronomy: There is a night Lab that will take place on the 1 st program night, weather and cloud permitting. That Lab will be moved until weather and cloud allows. There is a chance that this may not happen at camp. Bird Study: Some requirements might still remain if not done back at their campsite. Page 8, 2016 Winter Camp Merit Badge Addendum

4 Camping: Requirement 9b - rappelling 30 ft. will not be done in this class but will be done in the Climbing Merit Badge. Also the number of nights camping cannot be done completed fully done at Winter Camp. Cooking: Scout will not have time in class to complete all the cooking requirements. Climbing: All requirements will be completed at camp. Crime Prevention: All requirements will be completed at camp. Cycling: Scouts must bring Mountain Bike & Helemt. Not on the Rides will be completed at camp. Digital Technology: All requirements will be completed at camp. Fingerprinting: All requirements will be completed at camp. 5 Forestry: All requirements will be completed at camp. Geocaching: All requirements will be completed at camp. Horsemanship: All requirements will be completed at camp. Indian Lore: All requirements will be completed at camp. Participants will pick up his kit from the instructor. Leatherwork: All requirements will be completed at camp. Participants will pick up his kit from the instructor. Pioneering: All requirements will be completed at camp. Orienteering: All requirements will be completed at camp. Rifle Shooting: All requirements will be completed at camp. There is a qualifying shoot that the scout may or may not complete. The $10 charge is for ammunition, targets, and cleaning supplies. 6 Shotgun Shooting: All requirements will be completed at camp. There is a qualifying shoot that the scout may or may not complete. The $30 charge is for ammunition, targets, and cleaning supplies. Welding: All requirements will be completed at camp Wilderness Survival: Scouts do the overnighter on the last day of the merit badge. They build their shelters in the morning class, and then come back around 6 or 7pm to stay in them. Their instructor does a check on them thru out the night. Weather is always a factor, so sometimes it does not happen. Wood Carving: All requirements will be completed at camp. Participants will pick up his kit from the instructor.
