Never in this nearly two-decade history have I had a child as STOKED and HAPPY about camp as we did this summer with IDEAS camp. My daughter attended every session and BEGGED us to drop her off as early as possible and stay as late as possible. She had an ABSOLUTE BLAST, loved all of the camp counselors/instructors and really got into each of the different camps - from developing a business plan and her first website to cooking lots of different things to sports camp. Whatever you did this summer to make this camp so good, PLEASE keep it up. We will be back next year! Day Campers are grouped by age: Day Camp Jr.: Ages 3½ to 4 Day Camp: Ages 5 to 6 Led by our experienced and dynamic adult staff of teachers/early childhood counselors, Day Camp offers a new and exciting theme each week throughout the summer. Campers will enjoy a rock wall, inflatable slip and slide; and a wide variety of hands-on activities including sports, art, music/drama, science and much more. Day Camp is specially designed for our 3 1/2 to 6 year old campers who are ready to explore new themes while simply having fun! Day Campers are exposed to a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where campers may simply create, imagine and make new friends on a daily basis. 6 XPEDITION CAMP Ages 10 to 12 Xpedition Camp takes advantage of present day technology, combines it with a handful of team-oriented experiential-based projects and offers a summer camp environment like no other. Campers are grouped by age/grade Xpedition campers explore engineering, art and technology while joining in teambuilding initiatives, having a ton of fun and making long-lasting friendships in a safe, positive, team and character-building environment. Programs include various Drone flying camps, Stop-Motion-Animation, Intro to Entrepreneurship (Fish Tank), Ultimate Escape Room Challenge, and more. My girls LOVE camp. They actually beg me to let them stay until 5:30 because they have such a great time. I think all of the counselors are wonderful and so great with our girls! Tech Camp allows participants to explore the components of Science, Technology Engineering, and Mathematics. Each week focuses on a new and exciting theme so campers can register for one or all of these newly designed programs. Tech campers will learn the basics of robotics and coding, challenge each other to build and compete in a drone obstacle course, and launch water balloons from homemade catapults. Together with our adult-led staff, campers will have a blast working in small groups as they create, build, strategize, and challenge one another in this one of a kind tech adventure. We attended 6 weeks of camp this past year. If you had a camp specifically designed around Technology, we would have attended the entire summer. No pressure at all for 2018! 8 SPORTS & GAMES CAMP Ages 7 to 9 Sports & Games Camp is for the camper who loves athletics and friendly competition, but doesn t want to focus on one particular sport. This camp is fun and action-packed; combining a mix of team sports with swimming. Our IDEAS Rock Climbing Wall, the Sports & Games Olympics and a special event featured each week are revered among all campers! Campers are grouped by age/grade The Sport & Games program promotes the development of athletics, leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship, self-confidence, and most of all, fun. Designed for boys and girls ages 7 to 9, Sports & Games Camp caters to the athletic ability level of each camper including beginner, intermediate and experienced campers. This tournament-style camp program includes skill competitions, championship events, creative play, relay races and more. Each week campers are divided into evenly matched teams to participate and compete in contests and games all will enjoy. Each day campers have the opportunity to participate in our inflatable slip n slide. Each week concludes with exciting IDEAS Summer Camp Friday Field Day competitions followed by an end-of-camp award ceremony recognizing and honoring all of our participating teams. Effort over Results is the philosophy upon which the IDEAS Sports & Games Camp was built. Safety, fair play, fun, and a positive learning environment are the priorities of the program.
