2 Your Mission Should you choose to accept it Summer Camp Description Camp at Montessori Country Day School offers fun-filled summer programs for children ages Each week, campers jump into action, participating in exciting sports programs, exploring nature, becoming involved in performing and creative arts, playing a part in group activities, and attending special events. Our campers have the opportunity to expand their horizons during the summer, embarking on new adventures, and having fun! Our exceptional program and dedicated staff create an environment that forges lifelong friendships among our campers. We create a summer experience that is unforgettable! It all starts with our outstanding camp counselors. A camp is only as good as its staff, and we are extremely proud of ours. Talent, creativity, love of children, leadership and devotion make our camp counselors the heart and soul of the program. We take our camp programs seriously and begin our summer with intensive staff training and orientation. Camp counselors and specialists are doing exactly what they enjoy most: spending a summer inspiring campers to explore, reach for new heights, and expand their horizons. Camp at Montessori Country Day School gives you choices. Camp includes five days of activities, from 8:30 am 3:30 pm. You can choose to add extended hours and specialty camps to your menu of summer fun. We offer a range of outdoor activities, plus indoor activities conducted in our fully air conditioned facility. Our specialty camps are optional programs, operating during regular camp hours, which provide even more choices for unique and exciting adventures. Film/Photography Campers explore the tools necessary to capture great images and videos, and refine them through digital imaging. Puzzled Out Brain teasers, puzzles and riddles help campers improve logic, reasoning, problem-solving, and math skills in an exciting way. Block Party Dream it. Build it. Wreck it. Repeat! Campers build elaborate objects, structures and vehicles, while exploring fundamental principles of engineering and physics. Let your hidden talents shine! Campers develop creativity and confidence through singing, dancing, acting and more. Mysterious Magic Children are immersed into the world of magic and mystery. They learn about famous magicians and the secrets behind the magic, and even perform in their own magic show. Camper Challenge Secret agent training is underway, as campers participate in obstacle courses, races and various team competitions. Strike a Chord Campers tune up on their vocal and instrumental skills by creating melodies together. Summer jam sessions and mini-concerts will have the audience cheering for an encore.

Experience in a variety of mediums will enhance each artist s skills and creativity. There will be two sections offered; for beginners and advanced campers. Amazing Athletes Coach Terry will return to support our students development of amazing athletic skills. Children will develop capabilities in coordination and strengthen their confidence and competences in movement and sports. Dance Ballet, Bollywood & Flamenco will be offered this summer for campers looking to broaden their skills and express themselves through movement. Classes will be taught by professional dancers. Taekwondo Children will learn the basics of taekwondo from a local master. They will have fun while developing concentration, coordination and athletic skills. Engineering for Kids During the summer months campers will find creative and innovative ways to stay cool with each week s mystery to uncover. Expert teachers will deliver instruction and guide campers to research and reveal concepts in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

6 Daily Free Swim & Swimming Lessons Our facility includes an indoor temperature controlled pool. Our Doves & Eagles and Hawks and Cranes groups receive daily free swim regardless of the weather outside! We also have swimming lessons available from a certified swim instructor. Swimming Lessons: From beginners to the more experienced swimmers, the focus will be: * Develop a comfort zone in social situations * Water Safety * Proper Breathing Techniques * Kicking * Various Strokes includes freestyle, breast stroke, backstroke, and a crowd favorite, the jellyfish!
