PENDULUM PIVOT This will be stainless steel universal joint, with a self-lubricating nylon roller and anti-theft attachments. The joint will be reinforced with a stainless steel wear bar where it contacts the swing ropes to prevent premature wear of the cable. ROPE This will be 20 mm diameter, polyamide (nylon) rope cable with UV protection and fire retardant solution. Each rope consists of 6 strands each containing 24 steel reinforcing strands within a polyamide sleeve, wrapped around a solid polyamide core. SEAT CONNECTION The swing seat will be connected to the rope at four points, each by a two-piece manufactured stainless steel universal pivot attached onto the cable with a moulded aluminum sleeve and tamper resistant bolt system. FOOT BASE This will be 4 x 4 (1220mm x 1220mm) galvanized steel plate, 3/15 (5mm) thick, reinforced with a frame of 2 x 2 (50mm x 50mm) galvanized angle steel, and attached to the support posts with 2 x 2 (50mm x 50mm) galvanized angle steel braces and buried under 4 6 (1370mm) of fill mass for stability.
