3 EXPERIENCES OF PAST CAMPERS Before I attended the P4 camp, I relied on my parents for a lot of things. After the camp, I became more independent and learnt to adapt to different situations. The activities were extremely exciting and fun, especially the high-elements! This camp will be a memory that will stay with me for a long time. Renee Tan, 6A (2018)

4 EXPERIENCES OF PAST CAMPERS When I was halfway through the rock wall, I felt like giving up. But my teacher, Mr Tong, encouraged me to climb further up. In the end, I became one of the few children to make it to the summit. This camp taught me to never give up. Natalie Ang, 6F (2018)

5 EXPERIENCES OF PAST CAMPERS I was really hesitant to go for the P4 camp as I was afraid that I would be all alone there. I was in a different group from my best friend who was my only friend at that time. However, I made many friends in camp and had lots of fun! 6 CAMP INFORMATION Venue: MOE Labrador Outdoor Adventure Learning Centre Date: First run 26 to 27 July (4A, C, E, G, I) Second run 27 to 28 July (4B, D, F, H) Reporting time and venue: By 7.25am at HPPS gallery (level 5)

7 CAMP INFORMATION Back to school: First run 27 July 2018 by 9.30pm Second run 28 July 2018 by 6.30pm (dependent on traffic conditions) *Students will be dismissed at HPPS only

8 CAMP INFORMATION Dismissal Arrangement: Parents walking into the school - Wait at the canteen Parents driving into the school - Park at level 3 or nearby the school - Only allowed to enter the bus bay after the buses have arrived

10 CAMP OBJECTIVES 1) Opportunities for students to acquire and develop Socio-Emotional competencies, 21 st Century Competencies and school values through experiential learning and reflective practice 2) Build camaraderie amongst friends

13 SAFETY MEASURES Health declaration & food allergies Medication Students are to bring their personal medication (eg. Asthma inhaler) All medication must be packed & labelled with your child s name. Instructions on the correct dosage and application of medicines must be clearly stated.

27 Safety is OUR priority. In case of Non-emergency / emergency matters: We will send the participant to a nearby 24 hrs clinic. Or To nearest A&E (National University Hospital, Children Emergency)

28 Bring personal medication along. Students are to inform their trainers and teachers so that arrangements can be made. First- aider on duty. There will be a sick bay where campers may rest and recuperate.

33 Learn to use a portable stove to prepare a simple meal. Understand the risk involved in outdoor cooking Demonstrate care for the environment by keeping the area clean and taking care not to damage the environment

41 Recommended: Pupils should pack your own camp bag or co-pack with their parents. Pupils should use a backpack/duffle bag. Use labels / write your names in permanent markers on all items. THINGS NOT TO BRING / PROHIBITED ITEMS Do not bring mobile phone, MP3 players, electronic handheld games, expensive watches, excessive cash (not more than $5) or any valuables. Do not bring food and sweet drinks.

43 All Halal Meals by licensed caterer. Kates Catering Special meals will be catered for the students with special dietary. Etc: Vegetarians Pure Vegan Meals (No garlic/ No Onions/ No Eggs) G6PD Safe - No peanuts & Beans etc. Any others, please inform the teachers 2 Breakfast, 2 Lunch, 2 Dinner, 2 Supper and biscuits available throughout the camp duration.
