Providing appropriate and organized training locations is part of this value. To assist you in implementing this service, the Training Program would like to provide you with information regarding each of the training locations that is used to deliver training. The purpose of the guide is to give you detailed information about the facility and the area where it is located. 5 FACILITY AND AREA INFORMATION Directions to the Training Room: From East of the Lehigh Valley: Follow Route 22 to Route 309 South, follow Route 309 South to Hamilton Blvd./Route 222 Exit. Exit at Hamilton Blvd. Turn left at light (at the end of exit ramp). Follow Hamilton Street east to first traffic light, turn left onto Lincoln Avenue. Go to T and turn left onto Dorney Park Road. About ¼ mile on the left you will see Cedar View Apartments-turn left into parking lot. The Training Center is in the building directly behind the Cedar View Apartments. Please park in the lot on the east side of the road. The training center is directly behind Cedar Eatery. From North of the Lehigh Valley: Take Northeast Extension of the PA turnpike south to the Lehigh Valley Exit. After the exit, follow Route 22 East, continue on Route 222 to Exit 309 South to Hamilton Blvd/Route 222 exit. Exit at Hamilton Blvd. Turn left at light (at the end of exit ramp). Follow Hamilton Street east to first traffic light, turn left onto Lincoln Avenue. Go to T and turn left onto Dorney Park Road. Enter the first door. The second door will be locked. Use the phone in the vestibule to call the training room, (the number will be listed) and ask to be let in. Val Rode will come and open the door for you. Parking: You should park in the east parking lot, as the building is an elderly complex. Do not park directly in the front of the building. You may park at the front to drop off training materials. Special Accommodations: In the case that you have a participant requesting an accommodation due to a disability that was not already brought to your Training Specialist's attention: Parking is available at the front of the building. 9 TRAINING ROOM INFORMATION Training Room Location: Valerie Rode will be available to meet you at the door and direct you to the training room. If you plan on being at the training room before 8:00 a.m., please contact Valerie to see if you can make arrangements. Please let Valarie know if you will be leaving the training room for lunch. You can contact her at Smoking Information: Smoking is not permitted in the building. The smoking area is located outside the front entrance in the designated smoking areas. Training Room Layout: Tables can be rearranged the day of the training Closet Training Equipment Availability and Location: The training room is equipped with a TV/VCR, flip charts and pads, and an overhead projector. There is no DVD player. Training Supplies Availability and Location: All supplies are in the room; if you feel you need more supplies, please contact Patricia Dervish. Office Equipment Availability and Location: A copier is located in the room, however only a limited number of copies can be made. User Friendly How-To Directions: Please see the instructional CD. 12 CLOSING THE TRAINING Checking the Room: Please ensure the following is completed before leaving the room: Tables are clear of paper and trash. Equipment is put away in the proper place for use by the next trainer. Supplies are returned to proper place. Lights are turned off. Training materials are taken off the walls. Equipment is left in the room. Do not have to lock doors. Returning the Building Keys: Keys are not needed for this location. Trash Disposal: The trash can be placed in the trash cans found in the training room. Cleaning Services Available: The building custodians will clean the room each evening. If you are holding a two-day training, please leave a note on the door if you choose to not have the room cleaned prior to the second day. Extra Handouts: Extra handouts may be saved for another training your may be scheduled to train, or you may throw them away in the trash receptacles provided in the training room. Reporting Concerns or Broken Equipment: Trainers are responsible for calling Joshua Foose, Training Delivery Specialist, at CWP-PITT ( ) on the last day of the training to communicate the status of the training, i.e. issues with equipment, trainees, location problems, and how the overall training went. 12
