For the sports enthusiast, we have historic Calfee Park, home of the Pulaski Yankees, a minor league affiliate of the New York Yankees. Pulaski County High School, along with Virginia Tech and Radford University, are close by to provide great football, baseball, basketball, soccer and many other sports for easy entertainment. The County is home to two state parks, Claytor Lake State Park and New River Trail State Park. Claytor Lake offers water sports, beach and swimming areas, fishing and relaxed lake living while the New River Trail is a 57-mile trail that follows an abandoned railroad pathway connecting Pulaski to the City of Galax. To enjoy solitude in the quiet mountains, camping, and hiking, visit Gatewood Reservoir and Campground. The New River also has boating, rafting, kayaking and guided fishing tours. 9 Below are regulations for businesses in the Town Of Pulaski. These regulations are Regulations for Pulaski's' Downtown Merchants Town of Pulaski Town Code Sec Numbering buildings and premises. Numbering Structures Residences, stores, offices and other buildings or premises in the town shall be numbered. The town manager shall see that all residences, stores, offices and other buildings or premises are marked by appropriate numbers conspicuously affixed to such buildings or premises in consecutive order on each street in the town. In numbering buildings or premises, the buildings or premises on the south and east sides of streets shall be numbered with odd numbers, and the buildings or premises on the north and west sides of streets shall be numbered with even numbers. Numbers shall be at least three inches high and one inch wide; their color shall contrast with the background. After buildings have been so numbered, it shall be unlawful for any person to destroy or remove any such number, except for purposes of repair or replacement. Violations of this section shall be punishable by a maximum fine of $ Each 24-hour day during which there is not compliance shall constitute a separate offense. (Code 1990, 15-2; Ord. No , Att. A, ) Sign Regulations in B-3 Central Business Town of Pulaski Zoning Ordinance Section Signs General Requirements Except that is provided in Section 506.4, no outdoor advertising, sign, or sign structure shall be installed without issuance of a Certificate of Zoning Compliance prior to such installation. Application of the certificate of zoning compliance shall proceed in accordance with the specified procedures of Sections or 702.4, as appropriate. Failure to adhere to the requirements of this ordinance automatically cancels any such Certificate which may be issued, and any sign or sign structure installed pursuant thereto shall be removed forthwith; In fulfillment of the site plan requirements under sections or as appropriate, all applications for a building permit and Zoning Compliance shall be accompanied by two (2) copies of plans showing the size, location, and method of display of the sign(s), as well as complete specifications shall include design and wind load engineering calculations, as required by the project scope; Applications for a Certificate of Zoning Compliance shall be reviewed and decided as specified in Section or as appropriate, with all the following specific provisions: The Town of Pulaski Building Inspector shall review all sign plans and specifications prior to issuance of the Certificate of Zoning Compliance; The application shall require the signature of the owner of the lot(s) in question, and of the tenant of the lot, if there be any tenant. Maintenance and Removal of Signs All signs and sign structures shall be kept in good repair and in proper stare of preservation. All unsafe signs shall be brought into compliance with the provisions of the Uniform Statewide
