1 Thailand Travel Itinerary (13 Days) Arrive in Bangkok and take a taxi to Koh San Road Day 1 - Bangkok Check-in to your hostel and drop off your bags Take a Tuk-Tuk or walk to the following sights in the area (all of these sites are very close in distance): Wat Prakaew - Houses the famous emerald Buddha The Grand Palace - The Royal Residence Wat Pho - The site of the huge reclining Buddha Flower Market - A great place for a walk after it all Take a tuk-tuk to Ratchadamnoem Stadium and watch a Mai Thai Boxing Match (Every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 6:30pm) Return to Khao San Road and try some Thai Street Food for dinner. Try massage hopping. (1 drink at a bar followed by 1 half hour massage, repeat) Embrace the party on Khaosan Road. Hostel: Book your night at Nitan Hostel Khaosan Day 2 - Bangkok Take a Tuk-Tuk to view the following sights in the area (These are farther apart in distance): Wat Arun - The most iconic temple in Bangkok Taling Chan Floating Market - Let s be honest, you need to visit at least one floating market while in Bangkok Wat Benchamabophit - A Buddhist temple made of marble Grab a bite to eat at Klong Phadung Krungkasem Market Return to your hostel, change into fancy clothes, and take a taxi over to the Sky Bar for a great view of the city. You may remember this bar from The Hangover Part 2. (Yes, they do take dresscode seriously) Take another taxi over to the red light district, Soy Coyboy, for an interesting night. 2 Day 3 - Chiang Mai Pack your bags, Check-out of your hostel and head to the airport for a morning flight to Chiang Mai. (flights are around 1 hour 15 minutes) Take a taxi from the airport to your hostel, check-in and drop off your bags. Go check out one or both of these temples in the area: Wat Phra That Doi Suthep - Golden stupa on a mountain top (35 minute taxi ride) Wat Chedi Luang Varavihara - Anciant Ruins (walking distance) Take a Thai cooking class at Basil Cookery School 4:00-8:30 (transportation from the hostel is included) Get a drink from the bar at your hostel and socialize with other backpackers. Head out to the Boy Blues Bar for live music and drinks. Day 4 - Chiang Mai You will be picked up by Patara Elephant Farm at your hostel (7:30am) for your elephant owner for a day experience. This is an all day experience, make sure to book this ahead of time. Spend an hour or two at the hostel enjoying happy hour and swimming in the pool. Check out the Faces Gallery & Gastro Bar for dinner and drinks. Head over to the Night Bazaar near the hostel. Day 5 - Chiang Mai Pick your favorite of these activities for your last day in Chiang Mai: The Grand Canyon - Swimming and cliff diving in an old quarry. Rock Climbing - Rock Climbing Adventures Co. - Guided course or rentals Flight of the Gibbon - Zipline course. Check out Oasis Rooftop Garden Bar and Roots Rock Reggae bar both within walking distance of the hostel. After rest up, You're leaving tomorrow.

3 Day 6 - Pai Pack your bags, Check-out of your hostel and take a morning bus up to Pai. (around 3 hours) Check-in to your hostel and drop off your bags, Head over to these sights for for the day: (all in driving distance within 35 minutes) Yun Lai Viewpoint - Awesome view of the mountains Wat Pa Ban Ya Po - Isolated Buddhist temple Mo Paeng Waterfall - Small waterfall nearby the other two sights Head out to the Om Garden Cafe for dinner (Walking distance from the hostel) Go out for drinks at Edible Jazz (Walking distance from the hostel) Hostel: Book your night at Common Grounds Pai Day 7 - Pai Find transportation and head up to Lod Cave (2 hours away) for a day rafting through the caves in a bamboo boat. Go for a walk in the main walking street right near the hostel and check out some of the interesting cafes. Have dinner at Nong Beer Restaurant. (Walking distance from the hostel) Go out for drinks at Art In Chai. (Walking distance from the hostel) Hostel: Book your night at Common Grounds Pai Day 8 - Travel Day/Phuket Take the morning bus back to Chiang Mai (3 hours) and catch a flight to Phuket. (Flights are around 2 hours) Most of the day will be spent traveling on the bus and plane. Check-in at the hostel and drop off your bags. If you can handle a night out head to Patong s Bangla Road for dinner and drinks (25 mins away by car) Rest up, you're leaving tomorrow for Koh Phi Phi. Hostel: The Memory at On On Hostel

4 Day 9 - Koh Phi Phi Pack your bags, Check-out of your hostel and take a morning ferry to Koh Phi Phi. (about 2 hours) Check-in to your hostel and drop off your bags, Spend today walking around the town, going up to the viewpoint, and relaxing on the beach. Have a meal at the Grand PP Arcade. Grab a bucket and head to Slinkys beach bar for a fire show. Hostel: Book your night at Hangover Hostel Day 10 - Koh Phi Phi Take a full day boat trip around to see the local islands. Choose the best boat for you: Captian Bob s Booze Cruise Koh Phi Phi Happy Boat Have dinner at Oasis bar and restaurant, Get into a Mai Thai fight at the Reggae Bar. Rest up, you re leaving tomorrow. Hostel: Book your night at Hangover Hostel Day 11 - Ao Nang Take the first ferry to Ao Nang (1 hour 30 minutes). There are limited farries to Ao Nang so you may have to leave mid-day rather than early morning. Use today to relax. Enjoy the scenic ferry ride and spend the remainder of the day doing one or both of the following peaceful activities: Take a yoga class at Ao Nang Yoga Get a massage at Massage Corner Have dinner at the Jungle Kitchen. Go out for drinks at Boogie Bar Ao Nang for some live music. Hostel: Book your night at Pop-In Hostel Ao Nang

5 Day 12 - Ao Nang Head to Lion and Shark Cafe for breakfast. Take a half day to learn rock climbing at Railay Beach (Real Rocks Railay) Use the other half day on at Pranang Cave Beach. Grab dinner at Lae Lay Grill Head to the Smile Bar for some drinks Hostel: Book your night at Pop-In Hostel Ao Nang Day 13 - Ao Nang Pack up your bags and leave your hostel. You may choose to leave your bags here with luggage storage and return to the hostel after your tour before heading to the airport. Take the Lane Bay Discovery Tour. Arrange a taxi to take you to the airport.
