1 TRANSPORTATION ALTERNATIVES A top priority for Technoparc Montréal Sustainable development is an integral part of Technoparc Montréal (TM) s strategic orientations and development practices. One of the concrete goals of TM s sustainable development policy is to improve access to active transportation and public transportation in order to reduce solo car commutes.
2 Bus Group Taxi Bus # 72 links Technoparc Montréal s Saint-Laurent Campus to the orange line of the Metro (Côte-Vertu and Du Collège stations) and to the Fairview Pointe-Claire terminus. Bus # 225 stops close to Technoparc Montréal s Saint- Laurent Campus every 10 to 20 minutes at rush hour and every 30 minutes in off hours. In the winter of 2014, there were 2316 bus trips, compared to 411 in the winter of A group taxi service links TM to the Sunnybrooke train station at rush hour. Simply reserve your group taxi 40 minutes in advance by calling and presenting the driver with a valid transit fare. Charging Station To suggest an improvement, cgd@destl.ca or call To receive free months on your annual STM or AMT pass, ask your company to join Opus et Cie and Opus + entreprise, referring to the CGD. Always on the cutting edge, Technoparc Montréal set up a charging station for electric vehicles behind the building located at 7140 Albert-Einstein Street. There is also another charging station in the rear parking area of 7190 / 7200 Frederick-Banting.
3 Carpooling Bicycle Lane Technoparc Montréal offers resident company employees FREE personalized access to the AMT s carpooling site so they can easily find carpoolers who live near them and have similar work schedules. To register, click here. When Technoparc Montréal set up a designated parking space in front of its administrative building to encourage its employees to carpool, other companies at the Saint- Laurent Campus followed suit with their own carpool parking spaces, which are a definite perk for employees. If your company would like to do the same, cgd@destl.ca or call In 2013, a bicycle lane spanning several kilometers was created on the streets of the Saint-Laurent Campus. As more and more employees began coming to work on their bikes, bike stands were also built. The bicycle lane has improved everyone s safety and plans are also in the works to link it to the city s network. To suggest an improvement to the network, cgd@destl.ca or call Distinctions In 2013, TM won the 2013 Continuity Award in recognition for the Saint-Laurent Campus s remarkable advancements in the area of public transportation. In 2011, TM also won a prize for its pro-activity in improving and effectively promoting access to transportation alternatives.
4 Transportation Committee THE ROLE OF THE CENTRE DE GESTION DES DÉPLACEMENTS (CGC) DE DÉVELOPPEMENT ÉCONOMIQUE DE SAINT-LAURENT (DESTL) Run by Technoparc Montréal and moderated by the CGD, the Transportation Committee works to ensure that STM services meet the public transportation needs of TM workers and to improve access to transportation alternatives. It is made up of one representative per resident company and representatives from the Borough of Saint-Laurent. As worker numbers increase, the frequency of bus stops is analyzed to meet the growing demand. To join the committee or obtain further information, Audrée Letarte at or call The DESTL s CGD moderates Technoparc Montréal s transportation committee meetings. In collaboration with TM, it represents the needs of occupants to STM representatives and the Borough of Saint-Laurent, conducts residency and parking analyzes, and develops and promotes alternatives to solo car commutes. As part of its mission to serve the public transportation needs of TM occupants, the CGD recently conducted two major studies on parking spaces in the Saint-Laurent Campus and on residency areas of Campus employees with a view to identifying changes in their commuting habits.
