!! On July 7th we will ride to Moonshine, Illinois for a great burger!!! Moonshine is located in Clark County, Illinois. It has been featured on the CBS Sunday Morning Show.

4 2018 Chapter Z Directors Paul & Cheryl Engelman HOT enough for you? Well just sit down and hold on cause I'm sure it will get hotter!!! We will start off July with our State Park Poker Ride to benefit Ride for Kids, a huge thanks to Dave and Lisa Arnold for organizing this event!!! On July 7th we will ride to Moonshine, Illinois for a great burger!!! Moonshine is located in Clark County, Illinois. It has been featured on the CBS Sunday Morning Show. There is only one building in the entire town (not including the outhouse), and this was a grocery store built in It was later sold to Helen and Roy Tuttle in 1982, who created a restaurant that serves their famous Moonburger. One feature is that the store/restaurant has a guest-book with visitors from all 50 states and around the world. During the 2011 Terry Hammond Memorial Moonshine Lunchrun, held on April 9, 2011, a new record of 2068 burgers were served. The store is open from 6 AM until 1 PM Monday through Saturday, with the grill closing at 12:30. After we get our burger we will head into Casey, Illinois, Casey is the home to several Guinness World Record constructions including a Windchime, Rocking Chair, Knitting Needles, Crochet Hook, Pitchfork, Golf Tee, Yardstick, Wooden Token, Dutch Wooden Shoes, Mailbox, Pencil and Birdcage. On July 15th we will ride to Devils Elbow an original Route 66 Roadhouse that was built in 1929; we will take a gift to leave behind from Chapter Z. On July 21st we will have a Sammich Ride to Ha Ha Tonka State Park in Camdenton, Missouri. On July 28th we will have a Sammich Ride to Hannibal, Missouri. We will have another staff meeting in July to schedule our rides for the remainder of the year, if you have any ride suggestions please let us know.

2018 Assistant Chapter Directors Vern & Pat Watts My, it is so HOT out. We hope everyone is doing okay and staying well. We had a few rides this month. On 6/10 we went to Klines in Rosebud.

5 2018 Assistant Chapter Directors Vern & Pat Watts My, it is so HOT out. We hope everyone is doing okay and staying well. We had a few rides this month. On 6/10 we went to Klines in Rosebud. We had 14 members attend. The Meramec Springs ride was cancelled. We had our dinner ride to the Pasta House in Affton and 12 members attended. On 6/23 we went to the Rascals baseball/motorist awareness event. We had 15 members and our daughter Megan, John and our grandbabies Kayla and Sarah, who entertained everyone. They really enjoyed meeting the Z family. Special thanks to Mark and Sharon Meyers who went up early to help set up for the event. The State Park Poker Run was cancelled due to high temps. We will reschedule this one as it is for Ride for Kids. We hope everyone can get some riding in during the cooler times and enjoy the A/C when it s unbearable outside. We went on several 200-250 mile rides, around 750 miles of riding going to Branson rally, 1400 miles on a trip to Gatlinburg. What a Life.

We went on several mile rides, around 750 miles of riding going to Branson rally, 1400 miles on a trip to Gatlinburg. What a Life. All was without incident with much credited to knowledge acquired from being a member of GWRRA Chapter Z. Yes, you also, Les Gibson! Many more riding days left so stay hydrated, take plenty of breaks, and especially keep your eyes out for the other vehicles. The texting and driving I believe is getting worse even with all the news about not to do it. Please Ride Smart and Ride Safe
