1 Michael Ho Screenplay Act 1 Scene 1: The scene is set some time in the future. After a series of Terrorist attacks the government has been able to quarantine areas infected but have kept the information from the public. Friends and family within those areas have been reported missing or killed due to attacks. The story takes place after 5 friends decide to go on a road trip. They have spent their whole year in school and they are ready for a break. Thus they head out to the wilderness for some R and R. The scene cuts to a car driving down a road. As they stop people get out of the car and set up a tent. As night falls people walk in and out of the scene which is focused on a campfire. Then suddenly in. Charles: AHHHHH help! The Zombie lunges at Charles. They are in a struggle. Daryll picks up the crow bar and starts hitting the zombie. We need to get the F**k out of here. Hurry up! As the help Charles up they run towards the car. Unknown to them the military has expanded the parameter of the quarantined zone which the terrorist had released a new virus. What the hell is happening? I don t know we need to get back to the city. Scene 2: They begin to travel back to town. As they approach they are met with the sight of dead bodies littering the street. The streets are deserted as they get deeper into the town. Zombies start to come out of buildings. They begin to chase him. Gun it Van!

2 As they drive off at high speeds a zombie jumps out and is struck by the car. Van recovers from the hit and continues to drive. Shit! What the F**k was that. I just hit someone. Get a hold of yourself. What ever that was it wasn t human anymore. The worlds going to hell! We need to get weapons we aren t going to be able to survive out here without them. Scene 3: As reality sinks in they begin running through their options. They need weapons and lots of it. As they search the town all they can find is a crossbow and pistol (from a dead cop) and a lot of food. Charles: *cough* what do we do? I saw we rest up and head out in the morning. Ya, we shouldn t me moving around in the dark with those things out there. But we need to get out of here as soon as possible. Lets get into this building and barricade the door. Scene 4: As they sit there in the house. Loud noises of zombies can be heard. Almost no one can get any sleep. As morning approaches they all get ready to leave. Tensions are high. Fear is running rampant. They begin to drive slowly down the road out of the city. As they drive. In the distant multiple jeeps roll up. They all jump out. Military office: Get out of the car now!

3 Guns are pointed at them. They exit the car. The miliraty personal begin to take all their food. Van, Charles, and Jolu are in shock. Thank God Help us. HAY! What are you doing hay! You can t be serious you are the army. You have to help us. Officer: SHUT UP! WE ARE GOING TO DIE OUT HERE. Scene 5: The officer ignores him. After taking all the food they begin to leave. Guns pointed at Marcus and his friends. WHAT THE HELL MAN! WE HAVE NO FOOD AND NO WATER! WHY DIDN T THEY JUST KILL US HERE? They didn t take our weapons? No we still have em. Charles: *cough* Why! What the f*ck is wrong with this world. They may be bastards but they are not going to kill us. It would lower moral. They probably assumed that those things would get us first anyway. That s why they left us our guns. Charles: Arg

4 Act 2 Scene 1: Charles collapses. He is turning into a zombie. Everyone is paranoid and fearful. They put Charles in the car and go off in the distant to talk. What do we do? He might turn. He was attacked. You think we are up against zombies of something? We don t know what we are up against but for now I would say that s a good guess. You think it is spreading. We need to kill him. He is a. we cant do that. HE is going to turn! WHO KNOWS how many people he could have indirectly infected? Take him out now or risk us all. What s the point if we are all infected? We don t know that but better safe then sorry. Scene 2: As they argue over the situation a gun shot rings out. Charles has shot himself in the head. On returning to the car the moral drops. no no no! Shit we are all going to die here

5 Shut up! I am not dying here. We can do anything about it now lets more on We don t even know where we are going. Stop being so pessimistic. We will go wherever We can to get away. Okay stops fighting. We need to leave soon! What if we are already infected! It doesn t matter we need to do this together or We are all dead either way. Scene 3: They again get back into the car after dumping Charles body on the floor. Tensions are high. No one is talking. Everyone is suspicious of one another scared that at any moment one of them could turn. As they approach a new town they see piles of dead bodies on the outskirts of the city. They see more government personal at the entrance of the city. I say we go. We are going to die out here alone I don t trust them what if they jump us again. We need help. We have no food or water we wont last out here I say we take the risk. It s a gamble but its better then Getting eaten by zombies. Scene 4: As the approach a toll booth. The Man in a DHS uniform steps out.

6 DHS: Hello there. What the hell is going on? Can you help us? Scene 5: As they talk. A troop of armed guards ambush them. They are dragged to a decontamination chamber. As the officers spray them with water they are held in cells for days. Soon they are once again blind folded and eventually let out within the city. As there eyes adjust to the light they see one another. Van, Jolu, and Marcus see one another and join up. What the hell was that about. I think they were checking if we were infected or not. What took you guys so long? I ve been waiting for like 3 hrs! Act 3 Scene 1: As they look around the city. It is a police state. There are officers armed with heavy weaponry everywhere. The town in tense. No one wants to step out of line. As they stood there watching people as they go about there day, minutes becomes hours. As the door opens a DHS soldier walks out. The DHS soldier ignores Marcus. Hay where is Daryll? HAY IM TALKING TO YOU. WHERE IS DARYLL! The DHS soldier walks up to him and cocks his gun. Scene 2: DHS: Don t be making a scene now. There is no one by that name. Now leave.

7 The DHS soldier walks away. The three friends stare blankly at one another. They eventually find a place to stay for the night. Gun shots and explosions litter the air. THEY CANT DO THIS TO US! WE NEED TO GET DARYLL BACK! WE NEED TO FIGHT BACK! Dude relax. We all want Daryll back but what can we Do. we can make them give Daryll back. He was compromised! Why wouldn t they let Him out if he was not infected We don t know that! We can cause problems for The DHS STOP FIGHTING! We all cared about Daryll But what gives you the right to jeopardize everyone Here! Marcus storms out. Now at this point there are two possible endings. Ending 1: Marcus does some stupid stuff and zombies break the parameter killing everyone. With in this ending there are two options for viewing this part. Part 1: The camera zooms outside of the city after something like 3 weeks past. The city Erupts into flames as people are screaming and the city goes dark. Part 2: This is where we watch Marcus as he sets up his plans. It will be less ambiguous and he will clearly be the cause of everyone s death. He either commits sucide after breaching the gates or he gets eaten by the zombies. He can also be killed by the DHS if it fits.

8 Ending 2: Marcus excepts the police state and a news broadcast comes on. Broadcast basically says. Will the DHS hand over the power once the zombie problem is fixed. Part 1: This can be a video on a TV broadcast maybe in another language about the crap that is happening in America in relationship to the zombies and how the people of America have turned their freedom over to America. Part 2 could also have a meeting with the higher ups of the government officials. And either show a coup and shoe hoe the DHS will take full command. Or have the DHS give back the city. Part 3: The outbreak is over there are many people still alive. Some survivors outside the city. After sweeping the city nation DHS hands power back to the people and then America starts all over again. But reports of the outbreak still persist in other countries prompting more security on imports and foreign goods. As well as increased security on borders. Blog 100 words: This is my 3 rd revision. Though it isn t as detailed as a full on script it gets the gist of the story. My story has changed dramatically from the first to the second draft and mildly from the 2 nd to the 3 rd. This story now focuses on the zombie outbreak and the corruption that comes with life or death situations. The main characters are 5 friends on a summer vacation when a quarantined zone is extended and they are in the mitts of a post apocalyptic world as it spreads across the nation. This story tries to portray friendship, fear, paranoia, and freedom. Though done kind of haphazardly it sort of represents the chaos around them and how each on acts under pressure. The 5 friends have similar name to people in the book and their personalities and backgrounds match those of the protagonist and support characters in little brother. Though they are not necessarily the same people.
