Tokyo, one of the most populous city in the world, is a perfect case study to examine the critical success factors to this conquest. Participants of this tour will discover how Tokyo Metro achieves high level of safety and services General Rolling Stock Centre: East Japan Railway Company(JR East) JR East currently operates 7000 commuter vehicles in the Tokyo area and the Rolling Stock Center inspects approximately 2000 of these vehicles annually. This includes JR East s newest rolling stock model, the E235 series. Participants of the tour will discover the cutting-edge inspection procedures as well as the latest machinery and facilities which are used for inspection. Station Development & Express-way Bus Terminal Tokyo Metro & JR East BASUTA Shinjuku, situated above Shinjuku railway station, is the largest expressway bus hub in Japan. JR East delivered this iconic project in partnership with The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transportation and Tourism as part of the wider re-development of Shinjuku Station. Participants will also visit Omote-sando station, located in a sophisticated area of Tokyo and one of Tokyo Metro s busiest stations with shops and cafes, that highlights the nonrail business opportunities for Tokyo Metro.
