The four day event will look to assist the industry with ways in which we can move forward. The NSW GBOTA views the hosting of the 2015 Nationals as the perfect opportunity for interested parties to come together, exchange valuable information, share ideas and start to plan for the future. Sheraton on the Park, positioned in the heart of Sydney, will be the home to delegates and guests. This stunning five star venue gives you a selection of a Hyde Park or City outlook for your rooms, plus common areas which we believe attendees will thoroughly enjoy. Situated on Elizabeth Street, overlooking Hyde Park, the Sheraton is a close walk to a number of superb shopping hubs including Pitt Street Mall, The Strand and Queen Victoria Building. It is also close to a number of wonderful venues and areas for your spare time including Botanic Gardens, NSW Art Gallery, Australian Museum, Circular Quay and The Opera House. As part of the Nationals events a Trainers Seminar will be hosted on Friday, August 21 at the Greyhound Social Club. A range of Guest speakers have been arranged to cover topics such as animal behaviour, training, rearing, breeding and general care. It is our hope that this information and sharing of ideas can assist a range of participants in consideration of how they manage their operations well into the future. Friday will also see the Marketing conference take a slightly new direction. Held for the past two years, the Marketing conference has been a productive sharing forum for State bodies and a number of Clubs. This year GRNSW and the GBOTA have arranged to have guest speakers attend during the morning session which will talk about branding, product development and sponsorship. This session is open for all interested persons to attend. In addition to educational sessions, NSW welcomes you all to join us for a range of social events. A chance to spend time getting to know other attendees. The four days will conclude with the running of the Group 1 Ladbrokes AGRA Nationals at Wentworth Park. The Sprint and Distance Championships will see Australia s best converge on the Harbour City with the view of winning not only the title but $75,000. We wish all participants the best as they commence their qualifying from July 30. This is the time for us all to join together, forge stronger bonds and build a better industry for the future. Menu options can include tamarind stuffed whole petuna sea trout, roasted saskia beer chicken and 24-hour slow-cooked Mirrool Creek lamb shoulder. In the event you need further information or assistance with information surrounding trials, kennelling, travel or accommodation please contact our Racing team on (02) Monday Friday. An upgrade of the Wentworth Park Trainer s Change Rooms was undertaken to provide improved facilities for all trainers, with particular concern for those travelling long distances. The change rooms include lockers, shower and toilet facilities and a sitting area. We encourage all travelling trainers to utilise this service, be it on arrival or prior to departure. Travel packs are available free of charge from the race night office and include towel, razor, shampoo and conditioner, soap and toothbrush. Please do not hesitate to speak with our staff.
