2 Itinerary Day 1 Early this morning you will meet your tour host at Sydney or Brisbane International Airport for your flight to Shanghai on China Eastern Airlines and arrive in the evening. On arrival in Shanghai, you will be met by your friendly China guide and transferred to your 4 star hotel where you will spend two nights. Day 2 This morning after breakfast, you will visit the traditional Yu Gardens, the Old Chinatown with its twisting alleyways, many shops, hawkers and of course, the Bund. Enjoy your free time to explore Shanghai at your own pace, maybe go shopping down Nanjing Road or visit the Pudong area with its modern architecture. Tonight, enjoy a group dinner at a local restaurant close to the Bund. Day 3 After a leisurely breakfast, you will be met by your guide and transferred to the Maglev train station. Here you will have the opportunity to experience the bullet train out to Pudong Airport for your China Eastern Airlines flight to Dalian. On arrival in Dalian, you will be met by your friendly guide and transferred to your hotel. Meals: Breakfast & Dinner. Day 4 Today you will explore the major city and seaport of Dalian, known as the Hong Kong of Northern China. You will visit some of the many Russian and Japanese style streets. After lunch, you will visit Binhai Road, the North Giant Bridge, Tiger s Land and the Xin Hai Square City Sculpture. Depart Dalian by bullet train to Shenyang. Day 5 The highlight for today in Shenyang is the renowned Shenyang Old Forbidden City. This Forbidden City is one of only two large scale palace complexes in China. This afternoon you will visit the 918 Museum. The museum is dedicated to showing the many kinds of torture and killings that the Japanese inflicted on the local Chinese. For dinner this evening, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a local Lao Bian dumpling feast. Day 6 After breakfast you will farewell Shenyang and travel by coach to Changchun, the capital of Jilin Province. Upon arrival, you will visit Nanhu Park. Here you can relax and enjoy your surroundings, wandering around the lake, seeing weeping willows, winter flowers, singing birds

3 and traditional Chinese ancient buildings. Day 7 In Changchun today, you will visit the Imperial Palace used by the last emperor Puyi of the Qing Dynasty. This afternoon you will be transferred by coach to Harbin. Day 8 Welcome to Harbin! Harbin is famous for its annual Ice Festival and the city bears Ice World as its main claim to fame. Today after breakfast you will visit the St. Sophia Church, before heading to the Central Avenue of Harbin where you will be able to take in the many Russianstyle buildings. This evening after dinner, you will be transferred to the magnificent Ice & Snow World. After exploring this attraction at your own leisure you will be transferred back to the hotel. Day 9 This morning, continue to explore Harbin with a visit to the famous Songhua River where you will see local winter swimmers, one of the features of Harbin s Ice and Snow Festival. Afterwards, you will visit the Sun Island Snow Carving Exhibition. There will be plenty of time for you to soak in the festivities around the riverbank area or participate in the locals amusement activities. After dinner you have the evening at leisure to perhaps explore the ice sculptures or the city of Harbin. Day 10 Following breakfast, you are at leisure until the group transfers to the airport for your China Eastern Airlines Flight homewards to Sydney or Brisbane via Shanghai. Meals: Breakfast. Day 11 Your tour of China comes to an end this morning. Say farewell to the group and leave with your wonderful memories.
