You ll ride the best of NZ s South Island and experience everything from the deep forest, to beautiful rolling hills sitting on crystal clear lakes. You ll smell the fresh sea breeze and wild flowers, explore the greatest attractions and activities, and taste fresh delights from both the sea and the fields. Then each night you can relax and reenergise in luxury accommodation experiencing both modern and yesteryear charm steeped in history. The Burt Munro Experience lets you immerse yourself in the World Class Event The Burt Munro Challenge. This annual motorcycle rally held in Invercargill attracts thousands of motorcyclists from across the globe and is an experience you won t want to miss! You ll get up close to the bike that has been immortalised as the World s Fastest Indian, and experience the excitement of the rally s events, sites and unforgettable nightlife. This adventure is limited to 6 bikes and 12 people meaning there s no rushing, no having to be anywhere at any set time, and no waiting for loads of people before you in any line. It s about giving you the opportunity to encounter some of the very best NZ has to offer, with every bit of fun and excitement a true holiday should have.

3 Day 1 / Wellington Our adventure begins The adventure begins We say hello in Wellington, picking you up from the airport or wherever you re staying and taking you to your 5 Star Hotel. After you ve had a chance to settle in and freshen up, we ll then head to our depot to get you sorted with your ride and gear for our adventure. Next we re off for a short cruise around the Capital to familiarise you with your bike and take in some of the city s spectacular sites. You ll get a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the imagination and artistry of Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit and other world-renowned films at the Weta Cave, and enjoy the first of many beautiful coastal rides. Check out the national museum of New Zealand, Te Papa with innovative and interactive exhibits that tell stories of NZ in new and exciting ways. Or just do your own thing if you prefer. Whether you like nature, music, coffee or boutique bars, Wellington has you covered. After our ride you can enjoy some free time before being picked up from your hotel for dinner and our Real Aotearoa Meet & Greet experience. 4 Day 2 / Wellington - Nelson Approx 143 kms / 89 miles / 2hr 30min Today we leave Wellington and board the InterIslander Ferry, setting sail to the South Island. Enjoy a cruise through the Marlborough Sounds, with lush native bush at the water s edge and still snow tipped peaks of the Southern Alps in the distance. Keep your eyes open for dolphins and whales they re often caught playing beside the ferry! Once off the ferry we head south through beautiful farmlands and mountain ranges, and reach the golden sands of sunny Nelson. Here we ll spend the night at NZ s Grand Mercure Hotel which is unlike anything you ve ever experienced before. Put up your feet and take in the late afternoon sunset with breathtaking views over the sea and mountains.

5 Day 3 / Nelson - Punakaiki Approx 259kms / 161 miles / 3hr 30min Get ready for biker heaven. Today we head out of Nelson and ride some beautiful twists and turns beside dramatic coastal views. You ll be taking in all the best sites as we take the back-roads inland through the Tasman Park and the mighty Buller Gorge to our West Coast destination, Punakaiki. Here our resort is located on the water s edge, only metres away from the world famous Pancake Rocks and Blowholes. Tonight you can hang out in the lounge with panoramic coastal views, head to the restaurant for a beautiful meal or to the bar for a West Coast boutique ale. Make sure you take the 5 minute walk from tonight s resort to the Pancake Rocks to witness the wonders of Mother Nature s handiwork!

6 Day 2 / Punakaiki - Franz Josef Approx 215kms / 134 miles / 2hr 50min Today we ride the Tasman Sea Coastline and take a step back in time to the 1800s, with a visit to ShantyTown. Here we ll walk around an olden day NZ, catch a vintage steam train through lush native forest, walk through the fascinating shops and saw mills, and even pan for gold! Next stop, The Bushman s Centre at the edge of the rainforest in Pukekure (NZ s smallest town population 2). Here you re in for a really unique Kiwi experience with an exclusive short movie on the NZ bush, and time for a play with native young Possums. After you ve had a good look around, we ll get on the road again destination: Franz Josef Glacier and the Te Waonui Forest Retreat. Here lies our luxury getaway for the evening. After a welcome you ll never forget, we ll park up and settle into this forest paradise. Now you can enjoy the rest of your day however you like go for an explore, grab a refreshment or head to the private hot pools for a relax before sitting down to an all-inclusive and amazing fine dining experience.

7 Day 5 / Franz Josef - Cardrona Approx 307kms / 191 miles / 3hr 45min After an incredible breakfast, we ll head into the township. Here we invite you to come with us to meet our own Kiwi bird and chicks! Otherwise there are plenty of things to do in town have a wander through the shops, or head to one of the many cafés for a relaxing start to the day. It s completely up to you in this majestic place. Next get set to ride through some of the most beautiful scenery in NZ roads that will make you think God himself was a motorcyclist! Your breath will be taken away as we cruise past waterfalls, glaciers, and rolling hills with bright aqua blue lakes popping out of nowhere to greet you. Our next destination is Cardrona, where we ll stay at the historic Cardrona Hotel an old, character-filled hotel that will have you stepping back in time.

8 Day 6 / Cardrona - Queenstown Approx 44kms / 27 miles / 50min This morning we re off over the Crown Range to the historic Arrowtown for a hearty brunch and a look around one of NZ s oldest gold-mining towns, created back in the 1800s. From here we re only a short ride away from the adventure capital of Aotearoa, Queenstown. Surrounded by majestic mountains and set on the crystal clear Lake Wakatipu, get ready to be mesmerised by the natural beauty and unique energy of Queenstown. Have a good look around the shops in Arrowtown if you re after a really unique and special NZ souvenir! Here we settle in at the Scenic s Queenstown Luxury Apartments, the perfect location at stone s throw from the center of town for our 2 night stay.

9 Day 7 / Queenstown Today s a free day - so explore the town or relax in your luxury apartment overlooking the township and lake. Get your blood pumping with a complimentary Shotover Jet ride, or take a cruise down Lake Wakatipu aboard an iconic and 103 year old steamship, the TSS Earnslaw. And if that s not quite enough excitement for you, choose to do the bungy, giant swing, or a haunted house visit. Or if you re looking for a slightly slower pace, there are plenty of scenic flights, spas and cafés to make the most of. Tonight we ll take you up the Gondola for an on top of the world dinner with panoramic views of the city, The Remarkables mountain range and Lake Wakatipu. The possibilities in Queenstown are endless! So if you have any Kiwi adventures you want to tick off your bucket list, this is the place to do it!

10 Day 8 / Queenstown - Invercargill Approx 186kms/ 116 miles / 2hr 20min Today we head to Invercargill for the much anticipated Burt Munro Challenge. We ll ride past stunning lakes and through Otago s mountains and gorges to our destination (you ll know when we re getting close as there will be more bikes than cars on the road!). Tonight we re off to the rally site so you can experience the incredible Kiwi motorcycle event. Enjoy live bands, plenty of dancing and fellow enthusiasts wanting to exchange adventure stories as you explore this bike-filled town and all of its highlights. Here we ll check in to the Kelvin Hotel right in the center of town.

11 Day 9 / Invercargill Today is a free day, so get ready with a delicious breakfast, then set off and attend some of the many rally events! There s the Hill Climb, Speedway Spectacle, Circuit Racing, Street Racing, loads of different shows and beach racing yes, you read that right, bikes racing on golden sand! Your Rally Pass allows you to access the rally site and ALL Rally Activities, including the Friday and Saturday night concerts. Our Real Aotearoa Coach Driver is there to drop you off and pick you up from the venue so you don t have to worry about riding in the dark or having a drink or two. If you have any spare time, check out some of Invercargill s other highlights. Here are just a few: E Hayes and Sons Hammer Hardware tucked in beside shelves of goods rests Burt s Fastest Indian in all of its glory along with a whole lot of other incredible bike displays and memorabilia. Bill Richardson Transport World full of the best restored trucks, cars, fuel pumps and more - it s the largest museum of its type in the world. For a gold coin donation you can visit Demolition World a quirky and fun demo-yard with a big difference! Here you ll experience a museum/ motor-yard/yesterday s town.

12 Day 10 / Invercargill - Dunedin Approx 206kms / 128 miles / 2hr 40min Today we head north through some of rural Aotearoa s smaller towns. We ll pass through Gore and turn east to the meet the coast. Lap up this scenic road with rolling hills, rich farmland and the ocean crashing beside us as we head to our next destination, Dunedin. Once in Dunedin we ll make our way to the Octagon Dunedin s buzzing hub of restaurants, cafés, bars and our accommodation at the Southern Cross Hotel & Casino. We arrive with plenty of time for you to check out Dunedin s attractions, or just put your feet up it s up to you. Some attractions worth a look at: The Cadbury Chocolate Factory The old Cathedral Dunedin Railway Station the most-photographed building in Dunedin (you ll see why) Baldwin Street - the steepest street in the world! Larnach Castle and Gardens The many boutique shops and of course some of the great coffee places.

13 Day 11 / Dunedin Mt Cook Approx 317kms / 197 miles / 3hr 50min Today s first stop is the Moeraki Boulders to take a look at more of Mother Nature s handiwork. Then we move on to Oamaru for a unique encounter at the Steampunk HQ featuring futuristic Sci-Fi art, movies, sculptures, and immersive light and sound experiences. After a good look around we ll head inland towards the wild Southern Alps and Mt Cook. Relish the thrill of this ride as your surroundings turn from farmland, to hydro dams, to lakes and vast mountains as we weave up the glacier-carved gorge to our destination, Mt Cook. Here on the highest mountain in Aotearoa sits your luxury accommodation on the top floor of The Hermitage. Snap a picture of your room s breathtaking panoramic mountain view, then head downstairs for your all-included access to the Sir Edmond Hillary Centre and incredible 3D Movie Experience before dinner.

14 Day 12 / Mt Cook - Akaroa Approx 381 kms / 237 miles / 4hr 50min Today s a big day but a goodie, so grab a morning coffee and get set to leave early. Our first stop is Lake Tekapo where we ll enjoy breakfast while soaking in the world famous lake views. Then we ride the incredible McKenzie Hydro Canals into Geraldine for lunch. Here you can feel the unique country village atmosphere and admire the grandeur of the many historical buildings and museums. Next we head for the coast where we arrive at tonight s destination, Akaroa a historic French and British settlement nestled in the heart of an ancient volcano. Enjoy exploring the village with its colonial architecture, galleries, local craft stores and French cafés. And take your time to soak in the magic of this area with its unique atmosphere and dramatic outer bays. Go for an explore of Akaroa s waters - home to the rarest and smallest marine dolphins! And in Flea Bay you ll find the largest little penguin colony on mainland NZ.

15 Day 13 / Akaroa Kaikoura Approx 264kms / 164 miles / 3hr 45min This morning is free for you to have an explore, and there s plenty to see! Or just relax harbourside and enjoy the atmosphere at one of the many cafés. We ll leave town after lunch, and make our way up the East Coast to our next destination, Kaikoura (the Whale Watching Capital of Aotearoa). Tonight is our last night together so we ll treat you to a very special and complimentary Kiwi BBQ with fresh seafood and premium game. Then you can settle in for another night in luxury accommodation with uninterrupted views of the coastline.

16 Day 14 / Kaikoura - Wellington Approx 156kms / 97 miles / 2hr Sadly this is our last full day together, so let s make it fantastic! This morning you can go whale watching or have a relaxing morning in this piece of paradise. Then we ll take you to a few hidden treasures, including a very special seal pup nursery, as we ride the curves of the east coast to Blenheim. Now (unfortunately) we re only a short ride away from Picton. Once we ve arrived you can relax and reminisce on your amazing adventure before boarding the ferry and heading back to your accommodation in Wellington. In Blenheim you can enjoy the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre featuring Sir Peter Jackson s personal collection of WW1 aircrafts and artifacts. This really is something special with the theatrical treatment being both innovative and visually stunning.
