2 THE MELBOURNE GLUTEN FREE EXPO 2 INVITATION TO EXHIBIT AT THE MELBOURNE GLUTEN FREE EXPO The gluten free expo exists to provide an environment where the gluten free community can come together and feel safe and accepted. It s not just another food expo, the expo provides a service to a specific audience seeking ways to better manage their coeliac condition. They are looking for education, advice, new products, sampling, and buying opportunities, and an opportunity to say thanks. Producers serious about promoting Gluten Free goods cannot afford to miss this event. 7,900 visitors who predominantly were coeliac or required a gluten free diet, or have a family member who does, attended the 2014 Expo. The Melbourne Gluten Free Expo continued to provide a showcase of the gluten free industry including major long term producers along with brand new companies. Accompanying the event on the expo floor is a conference program featuring world renowned speakers, feature cooking stage ensuring a great day of family entertainment. Recent quotes from 2014 attendees reflect these sentiments: I love going to this show and being amongst like minded people. I always learn something new. For a parent of a four year old who has recently been diagnosed, the Expo was invaluable! Just seeing the products available for him was eye opening, he got to see that there are lots of people who eat gluten free food like him. Really fabulous day, very informative and great to see so many companies. Fantastic day with lots of great information. I loved being able to try so many different foods which led to lots of purchases!

The Expo attracts regional, metropolitan and interstate visitors. The exhibit space will take up 4500 square metres with large aisles and corner stands. Free Entry for Coeliac Vic/Tas Members. Feature areas, excellent catering and seating, an upgraded conference space and family activities will feature. New Initiatives for 2015 Exhibitor Directory a comprehensive directory will be produced that will enable visitors to take home a handy reference guide. Exhibitors can contribute basic details including company name, web address, contacts, product range, with the opportunity to upgrade with logos and advertising space. Exhibitors will be invited to submit a new product to feature in a What s New? showcase area at the Expo entry. Exhibitor Awards exhibitors will be recognised for their product range, longevity in the industry, innovative stand displays. Details on how to submit will be supplied in the exhibitor information kit. Exhibitor Networking function a casual networking function will take place after the Expo closes on the Saturday. The function will feature a relevant speaker and the exhibitor awards will be announced and presented. There is also the opportunity to sponsor the exhibitor function. Improved ID on fascia signs: Exhibitors will be provided with the opportunity to highlight on their stands if any gluten free products displayed are also FODMAP Friendly, Dairy Free, Nut Free or Vegan. This is due to the increased interest by attendees for other allergen friendly foods note all foods displayed must be gluten free.

5 5 THE MELBOURNE GLUTEN FREE EXPO WHO CAN EXHIBIT? All products must be gluten free according to Food Standards Australia and New Zealand guidelines (FSANZ). Refer to the terms and conditions for detailed guidelines. EXHIBITOR REQUIREMENTS Statement of Trade Exhibitors sampling and selling food MUST have a food handling license. Evidence of this registration must be submitted to the City of Melbourne in order to operate at the Gluten Free Expo. Registrations can only be made via an online system known as Streatrader. Streatrader is an online system for traders to register and notify temporary and mobile food premises in Victoria. City of Melbourne will issue a Statement of Trade enabling exhibitors to sample and sell from their stand. Registration can be made online via Public Liability Exhibitors are required to advise the organiser of their public liability cover and provide a Certificate of Currency relating to Gluten Free Expo. Exhibitors are required to show proof of at least 10 million dollars public liability insurance. Promotion of the Event The Gluten Free Expo will be promoted extensively via: Coeliac Vic Tas member database and communications Past attendees who have subscribed to receive updates Exhibitor communications via website, alerts, flyers and posters supplied Online social media, event listings and websites Mainstream press and radio Public relations Targeted trade marketing Partner arrangements with media outlets, magazines and organisations with similar target markets.

6 THE MELBOURNE GLUTEN FREE EXPO STAND OPTIONS and PRICING Shell Scheme: 3m x 3m or 6m x 3m or 3m x 2m The shell scheme package will consist of bright clean 2.4m high melamine Octanorm walling in aluminium frame. The Gluten Free Expo will be professionally built by Harry the Hirer who is the nominated master contractor for the event. Stand Package Includes: Stand number and company name will feature on 220mm corflute panel fascia inserts 1 x 4amp power point per 9m2 - note additional power will be required if running heating implements, fridge s or freezers. 2 x 70 watt enviro lights per 9m2 Free and ample indoor storage Limited fridge and freezer storage Free freight forwarding from a central Melbourne location to the MEC and back to central location for pick up Loading dock assistance with free forklift service. (All exhibitors must supply their own Hi Vis vest for move in and move out) Company listing in expo directory Company listing on expo website Access to public relations company Access to central wash stations and preparation areas Open Space: carpeted area only, minimum 18m2. 7 7 THE MELBOURNE GLUTEN FREE EXPO IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO NOTE Please consider your stand layout, sampling space and staff numbers when booking space. Exhibitors must conduct all business within the confines of the booked space. Exhibitors are not permitted to stand, sample, or solicit business in the aisle ways or any part of the Expo. Exhibits displaying, selling or sampling food are required to obtain a Statement of Trade from City of Melbourne via their online registration system Streatrader. health.vic.gov.au Exhibitors are required to supply their own hand wash on their stands. This includes a vessel to hold and dispense hot water, bucket to collect water, paper towel and soap. City of Melbourne Environmental Health Officers will be onsite to check compliancy. Foods offered free of charge for tasting must be sample size only portions no larger than 50gms or 50mls. Whole foods may be exhibited and sold to attendees for consumption at a later date. *STAND CANCELLATION POLIC Exhibitors are required to pay a 30% deposit to secure the space. If an exhibitor wishes to cancel their stand: Stand cancellations received by 30 th June 2015 will incur a $250 per booking administration fee. Withdrawals occurring between 1 st July and 31 st August 2015 will forfeit the deposit. Withdrawals occurring after 1 st September 2015 will not be entitled to any refund and will be required to pay for the full cost of the stand. *In exceptional circumstances this policy can be reviewed on a case by case basis at the discretion of the Coeliac Victoria and Tasmania Board. HOW TO BOOK SPACE Refer to the floorplan supplied and select three stand options, 1 st, 2 nd 3 rd preference. Space will be allocated on a first in first served basis. We will endeavour to allocate your requested stand location and will be in contact if your preferences are not available. Stands are in configurations of 3m x 3m or 2m x 3m shell scheme stands. ou can elect to take multiple stands which will then be converted to the configuration requested. Stands without fascia but still utilising walls are deemed shell scheme stands. Open space stands with custom builds must be a minimum of 18sqm. Complete the stand application form and forward with a 30% deposit. Only forms accompanied with the deposit will be allocated. (If paying via EFT please supply a copy of the remittance) Final payment is due Friday 4 th September NEXT STEPS 1. Review floorplan 2.
