7 MARKET OVERVIEW Polaris Fashion Place sits one-half mile from the JPMorgan Chase Bank Corporate Center, a 1.9 million square-foot facility which houses over 8,000 employees. In addition, the Columbus area is home to five Fortune 500 company headquarters as well as offices of numerous other major U.S and foreign businesses. Situated in the middle of a rapidly-growing trade area, both in terms of population and average household incomes, the mall is also in close proximity to some of the region s largest employers. 9 TRADE AREA Columbus is increasingly becoming known to a national audience as a hotbed for fashion, design and retail. In a recent list of the top most fashion-forward cities in the U.S., Columbus ranked number three, behind New York and Los Angeles. Columbus is home to L Brands, the parent company of Bath & Body Works and Victoria s Secret; Express; Abercrombie & Fitch; and DSW.
